A great scare

I'm familiar with this story as I've seen it on paranormal shows before, but the book gives more creepy details. The performance by the narrator was also great. Don't listen to it at night!

why would the family stay so long? all the $$$$ in the world or not having any would ever keep me in a house like that.

Awesome audiobook!!! I listened to it at bedtime. Good thing I started it on my days off!! I kept telling myself just one more chapter. If you love paranormal stuff, you will enjoy this!!!

A good haunted house story

The main story of a haunted house was good. It WAS a good story. But I think the unbelief went on way to long. It became not fun to listen to. So I did skip some chapters because I didn't want to hear that part anymore. But the last part of the book was very good. Over all I thought it was a good scary story.

Sounds like a good work of fiction

Okay, I enjoy a good ghost story... a lot. I even listened Coast to Coast AM back when Art Bell was alive and running the show. Did I actually believe many of the guests he had on the show? NO. This book falls into the same category. Excellent story, the descriptive narration actually caused me to consider turning on the light, as I listen to books before falling asleep. Do I believe the story? I am afraid I have heard too many interviews with people who knew the Warrens to think anything other than they were a couple who was extremely adept at making money by playing to people's fears.
In short, I think the Warrens were running a game, but part of me has to applaud their sheer audacity. I mean, they made a mint off of the films that were based on their stories.
