It is a life that was charted by the forces of Cardassian society with very little understanding of the person, and even less compassion.

But it is the tailor that understands who Elim Garak was, and what he could be. It is the tailor who sees the ruined fabric of Cardassia, and who knows how to bring this ravaged society back together. This is strange, because a tailor is the one thing Garak never wanted to be. But it is the tailor whom both Cardassia and Elim Garak need. It is the tailor who can put the pieces together, who can take a stitch in time.

I just want to say thank you so much to Andy for this gift to the Star Trek community. Hearing you narrate A Stitch In Time is something I've been wanting since you first wrote it.

It's wonderful to hear you as Garak again.

This is one of my favorite Star Trek novels of all time.

It's a wonderful examination of Cardassia and Garak written and now also read by the actor himself, Andrew J. Robinson.

It's a worthwhile read/listen for any Trek fan.

This book is such a treat, hearing it in Andrew Robinsons own voice is even better.

Such a rewarding experience

If you’re a fan of DS9 you know the rather bitter end of Garak’s tale on the television series, a dark reality set for him.

This book does a wonderful job of picking up where that left off, the grim reality of a near total genocide, a world left in ruin. The flashbacks timed with the current setting did a great job of pacing for the story.

Andrew Robinson not only gave us this gift but added to it by another performance as my favorite character from DS9, as only he could.

Will be rereading again!

Stunning character work and performance

The depth of Garak’s story is astonishing and aligns perfectly to the show. The performance is compelling.

The lack of jargon and smooth and creative swings between the wicked and humane reflection.

A backstory and future that didn’t rely on easter egging. A solid story and performance on its own.
