Rob is an avid reader and writer. He brings extensive experience in management, business development, and consulting in the high technology industry. He has worked extensively with global businesses, including living/working in Asia, while being based in Japan.
Rob's first book was Big Data Revolution, published by Wiley in 2015. The Financial Times called it "a case study of the philosophical assumptions that underpin the growing obsession with data." Mr. Thomas is an active writer on his blog (www.robdthomas.com) and is a frequent public speaker, featured at numerous business and industry events.
Rob serves on the Board of Directors of the Domus Foundation.
Rob is currently the General Manager of IBM Analytics, leading a global software business focused on data science, data management, and data governance.
He lives in New Canaan, CT, with his wife (Kristin) and three children.
