Spring (well, almost), 2018, and thanks again, as ever, to all readers. A book isn't a book until the reader reads it!

And now the formal bio:

Maggie Craig is a Scottish writer, author of the ground-breaking and acclaimed Damn' Rebel Bitches: The Women of the '45, Bare-Arsed Banditti: The Men of the '45 and When the Clyde Ran Red, a popular history of the events and personalities of Red Clydeside.

Her latest novel is Gathering Storm, a tale of Jacobite intrigue and love across the political divide set in the tense Edinburgh of the 1740s. Gathering Storm is the first in a trilogy featuring Redcoat Captain Robert Catto and surgeon-apothecary's daughter Christian Rankeillor.

Her six family sagas set in her native Glasgow and Clydebank during the first half of the 20th century combine her love of working-class history with a page-turning story. All these novels have a passionate love affair at their heart, featuring a hero and heroine with their own journeys to make and their own battles to fight.

The Glasgow & Clydebank series are all standalone books, although there is some overlap of characters in The Stationmaster's Daughter and The Bird Flies High. In order of writing and publication, these books are The River Flows On, When the Lights Come on Again, The Stationmaster's Daughter, The Bird Flies High, A Star to Steer By and The Dancing Days.

Set in 1820s Edinburgh, One Sweet Moment has been described as "Dickensian in the richness of its storytelling." All Maggie's books have been highly praised for their convincing and engaging characters and vivid sense of place.
