Ed Silva Jr (born June 16, 1987) is an American author of thriller novels, most notably the Richard Maxwell stories, The Imperfect Plan (2012), The Bitter Truth (2015), Jessica Cardelini (2016), and The Mad Scientist (2018).

His novels are treasure hunts set in a 48-hour period, and feature the recurring themes involving the International Police , keys, symbols, codes, Martial arts, chase scenes, and British conspiracy theories. His books have been translated into five languages, and as of 2016, he won an award for best mystery of the summer.

Silva's novels also includes historical themes, and political motifs, that have generated controversy. Silva states on his Instagram account that his books are not anti-government, though he is 'constantly searching for truths', and says that his book The Bitter Truth is simply "an entertaining story that promotes discussion and political debate".
