The conclusion to this duet had a different feel to the first book. I felt like I was with this couple, struggling to make their marriage work or make an exit. Emotionally, you go through the wringer with them. I debated listening to it based on other reviews but I’m really glad I did. Gritty & painfully honest. Brilliant narration.

If you could sum up Separation Games in three words, what would they be?

I couldn't wait for this book to come out in audible because the first one capitivated me. If you ever had a relationship that was perfect but something was missing, then listen to these two books. I cringed at some of the "scenes," but I'm obviously attracted to the "life." If you can step outside of yourself and let C D Reiss take you inside of these characters (and save the judgments) then you might learn something about yourself. I personally couldn't stop listening to both this and the first one. Reiss knows how to keep up your interest. The narration was great.

Loved this book just as much as I loved the first book. Dianna & Adam Steinbeck are my favorite married couple. Team audiobook all the way.

Great Read

Wow the machinations, self doubt and self analysis were all over place with Diana and Adam. Dating and love are hard enuf without all these two had to navigate. Great spice and narration.

These Crazy Kids

Adam and Diana’s marriage continues to devolve as his commitment wanes while she’s now fighting to get him back and their journey is loaded with mind games, self discovery and sexual eroticism though some of their encounters made me cringe. I was blown away by the storytelling, intrigued with the insights into Adam’s past and cheered for Diana’s personal growth as she fights for her man and the life she wants. I love an angst filled storyline that takes me on a compelling journey and this series certainly delivers all that and more. I listened to the audiobook and the nuanced narration performances of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are absolute perfection.

As with the first book Marriage Games the story continues greatly. I did find myself getting annoyed with Diana to the point I wanted to yell make up your mind already. She was one of those women that because she wasn't getting a certain type of attention she basically through a fit and wanted out, that is until she realized he resigned himself to the fact that it was really over between them, and then she was all about Adam and trying to get him back. When she found out about his true self she went from viewing him as something being wrong with him to want to indulge and was willing to do anything to get him back even if it meant getting the attention of other dominants. This is one of those be careful what you wish for if your not really prepared for the outcome.

Of course you can never go wrong with Sebastian York, he and Elena Wolfe (Andi Ardnt) are always phenomenal together.

I love this duet. It all started with Marriage Games and ends here with Separation Games. Adam and Diana worked hard to find their way back to each other and forged a new path into the future. I really enjoyed their unconventional love story.

This book was dual narration and not the duet-style that was in the first book but both Sebastian York and Elena Wolfe did a superb job narrating their part. I never got confused as to who was speaking or what was going on. Also, the story was divided into 2 parts, the first half was all from Diana’s POV and then we get Adam’s POV for the rest of the book. I highly recommend this audiobook but you must listen or read Marriage Games first to understand what’s going on in this book.
