Clare Corbett has had a successful career on stage, screen, and radio. Her theater credits include To Kill a Mockingbird, Pygmalion, and Spoonface Steinberg, and TV credits include BBC's Spooks, Fastnet, and Final Demand.
Winner of the prestigious Carleton Hobbs Radio Award, she has appeared in more than 250 radio plays, including Absolute Power, Venus and Adonis, and Dr. Zhivago.
Other voice work comprises Aardman Animations’ The Planet Sketch and Chugnav in Chuggington, and numerous audiobooks (children and adult), such as Poppy Shakespeare, Swallowing Grandma, and Girl on the Train. Winner of Audible's Narrator of the Year for 2017.

Hailing from London, Shane East is a multi award-winning romance narrator whose native Brit accent frequently tops Audible’s bestseller list. I have read a few books now by Louise Bay. They are all great stories with interesting characters and, in this case, fabulous narration.

Madison and Nathan first meet at a wedding and they have a quick, immediate connection. The next time they meet it is because she is a journalist writing about him. As they spend more time together it is obvious the chemistry between them can't be ignored. The pacing and character/relationship development made for a fun, quick read.

I usually buy audiobooks after having read the ebook or paperback first. However, I am glad I got to experience this story in audiobook the first time around. The narrators were excellent and I loved getting to hear the story told with the English accent.

I really enjoyed the narration for this one, Shane East and Clare Corbett were perfection!

Loved this story about the player who really wasn’t and the reporter who clash together for a meant to be romance! 🔥 Scale is a 9!!

Fun read with some suspense! Characters were real. Conflicts thoughtful. Narration was well done. It could have been a bit longer. Would have enjoyed hearing more about the sub conflict.

Just a pre-finish review should have looked at some reviews before listening to this one things get kind of steamy in the beginning just a warning to those with more foresight than I, Also I’m a guy and I don’t usually listen to such books so maybe take that with a grain of salt. Pending full review.

Clicked on this one due to the reviews and it was included in audible.

I was pleasantly surprised. Not a bad book and I enjoyed characters that have a little backbone and speak their mind. The old “he likes me,” “omg, he called me his girlfriend,” gets really old when the characters are supposed to be in their late twenties or early thirties. This one didn’t do that.

Will this be a movie? No. But was it better than most other free stories? Absolutely. Will try a second book by this author.

Side note - I can help but think that the male narrators are wondering “wtf am I doing with my life” when they read sex scenes. That, and “who writes this sh*t??” while they smoke a cigarette and shake their head, trying to remind themselves that it pays the bills.
