I had anxiety ordering this book because I loved the first so much. Based on the other reviews I was concerned it contained infidelity or something that would make me love these two characters less. Rest assured it does not. What it does do is present a coming of age story for a different point in life, something that in my opinion needs to happen more often. Coming to terms with new responsibilities, a different set of adult style joys and compromises. I truly enjoyed it.

The best part of this book is that it takes the romance trope of “Happily Ever After” and gives us a dose of reality mixed with true love. Ms. Simone does an excellent job showing that as human beings, we will fail, we will hurt each other, and we will hurt; however, the power of love and hard work can lead to real healing and a partnership that works and fires on all cylinders. Highly, highly recommend this series.

The continuation of Priest.
The couple faces their daily life and all it comes with it.
Tyler and Poppy are one of the best couples ever!
The narration is absolute perfection!

I loved that we got a second short story about what became of Tyler and Poppy. While I really enjoyed Tyler and the hot steamy scenes ...I still had a hard time connecting and liking Poppy. Something about the way she deals with relationship stress is unnerving. I have a hard time feeling she was the right one to make Tyler leave his role in the church. All in all I still liked the book and would recommend it to others. Narration was stellar.

Father Tyler Bell is the best

This was a glimpse of Tyler and Poppy’s life after marriage, their struggles as a couple and how they work things out. I really enjoyed this book, as much as Priest. I liked how they are real people with real life struggles, yet have a strong faith that gets tested at times. Sierra Simone has become one of my favorite authors. She never disappoints.

This is a glimpse of Father Bell and Poppy’s married life.
