Inspiring Listeners with Recommendations to Match Their Interests

Call us matchmakers. With over a million titles to choose from, we’ve rolled out new features to make it easier for customers to find their next listen, while also supporting creators by spotlighting their works. Here’s how.
Explore Audible’s Catalog in a Dynamic New Way
Customers can now swipe through our new vertical in-app video reels for listening inspiration. Currently in beta in the U.S., these short videos include trailers, author interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and more, not only helping customers find new titles, but also giving creators another way to stand out and connect with listeners. The videos are accessible in the Audible app only via a banner on the home screen. Each clip links directly to its corresponding title, letting customers instantly learn more or add the title to their library.
Discover Titles Based on Your Favorite Music, Movies, and Shows
We’re also helping music, film, and television fans to discover audiobooks that match their tastes. New carousels on the Audible home page offer recommendations that are "inspired by artists you enjoy on Amazon Music" and "inspired by your Prime Video interests,” connecting listeners' favorite musicians, film genres, television actors, and more to relevant audiobooks — whether that's actor autobiographies, deep dives into musical movements, or stories that match the themes and moods of the media customers already love.
Browse Your Goodreads Want to Read Shelf on Audible
To better serve the millions of book lovers who actively use both Audible and Goodreads, we’ve integrated customers’ Want to Read shelf from Goodreads directly into their Audible library. Once a Goodreads account is connected to Amazon (which can be done in the Goodreads account settings), customers can automatically browse, purchase and play books from their Want to Read shelf in their Library – eliminating the need to switch apps and creating a more seamless way to get into a good listen.
Stay on Trend with #BookTok
We recently collaborated with TikTok to help our customers discover top trending books and stories right inside the Audible app and website — making it effortless for audio fans to find their next listen among today’s most talked-about stories. Our dedicated “Best of #BookTok” destination is updated regularly by Audible’s editorial team and customers can also browse collections of some of BookTok’s most popular genres — both broad, such as thriller and historical fiction, and microgenres, such as romantasy, book-to-screen and dark academia. And we’ve added visual badges to audiobooks to highlight which are currently trending on #BookTok, enabling customers to instantly recognize the latest cultural phenomena within the listening community.
Dive Deeper into Audible’s Catalog Using Maven
Since its launch over a year ago, we’ve enhanced our AI-powered search tool, Maven, to deepen the discovery experience. Customers can now engage in back-and-forth conversations with Maven to home in on what they’re searching for and ask for more information about specific titles. And since these conversations are saved for 24 hours, customers can pause and return to their search journeys as needed. In the U.S., Maven is available on every page of Audible’s website, via the chat widget, and in the Audible app’s Discover tab and home page, as well as on each title’s product page.
These features are only a few of the ways in which we’re getting customers excited about picking their next listen. Give them a try today!
