Audible and TikTok Bring Best of #BookTok Sensations Direct to Listeners

Audible is taking its relationship with the passionate, dedicated #BookTok community to the next level, by partnering with TikTok to help listeners discover top trending books and stories right inside the Audible app and web experience. The collaboration with TikTok creates a seamless bridge between what’s trending on BookTok and what listeners can explore on Audible, making it effortless for audio fans to find their next listen among today’s most talked-about stories.

Highlights include:

  • A dedicated “Best of #BookTok” destination: A curated section within the Audible app and web experience showcases dozens of trending titles from BookTok, refreshed regularly by the Audible Editorial team based on the latest from TikTok. Users will also see a carousel of trending BookTok titles directly on the Audible app home and webpage.
  • Microgenre exploration: Collections are organized by some of BookTok’s most popular genres — both broad, such as thriller and historical fiction, and microgenres, such as romantasy, book-to-screen and dark academia — creating precise recommendations for listeners to discover trending audio content within their favorite niche categories.
  • Trending indicators: Visual badges highlight which books are currently trending on BookTok, letting listeners instantly recognize the latest cultural phenomena within the community.

BookTok has revolutionized how readers discover stories, with 70M posts on TikTok using #BookTok. The community has propelled new authors into the mainstream, revived beloved classics, and inspired a new generation of readers. According to the Publishers Association, 68% of 16–25-year-olds say the community has inspired them to explore books they never would have considered otherwise. While Audible has been an active social participant in the BookTok community for years, engaging with creators and joining conversations, this collaboration brings BookTok’s cultural influence directly into the Audible experience.

Some of the smash-hit titles highlighted at Audible’s Best of #BookTok destination at launch include historical fiction romance Atmosphere, by Taylor Jenkins Reid, dark fantasy Alchemised, by SenLin Yu, and the beloved Pride & Prejudice, by Jane Austen.

The launch is the latest evolution of Audible’s ongoing engagement with the BookTok community, where Audible has seen a more than 50% year-over-year growth in TikTok followers who love engaging with us about stories.
