I have already started reading Book 2 of this series because it is narrated by one of my favorites, Angela Dawe. I enjoy her voice alot more. I loved ..Show More »the storyline in Shadow's Edge and the details that were added to every description. J.T. helped the reader imagine this breathtaking world and envision yourself within each character.
Ok, I begin hearing this book and stopped after 3 minuts. the narrator is horrible, I had stop other books narrated by this lady after 3 minuts. ..Show More »I cannot tolarate her slow and monotonous voice. It is like hearing bla, bla, bla blaba. I dont know who in your company fecided she was a good narrator about the book and the story I will read it and the I can decide about the story. you audiobooks or whoever the company is that hire this lady ARe ruining good books with this voice. it is not the person I am judging IT IS THE VOICE!!
This is the most poorly recorded audio book I've purchased. The sound quality is very bad - echoey and harsh. It was obviously not recorded in a stu..Show More »dio, or even an moderately appointed home recording space. The narrator only makes things worse. Though she has a great voice for all the characters - good accents and believable voices which really bring the characters to life, it doesn't make up for the battering narrative sections. The narrated sections (the vast majority of the book) are really hard to listen to - truly headache inducing. I feel like the author is yelling the story at a passing crowd - it is brutal. I couldn't finish the audio version - and I recommend that you stick to the print version, too. Do yourself a favor and at least listen to the sample before purchasing - listen to the entire 5 minute segment. At first you may not find it to be too bad, but after 5 minutes, you will begin to get an idea of how strident and painful the narration is....can you listen to it for another 13 hours?
