Publisher's summary

When Kim Fraser enters the lair of shifter Liam Morrissey to get answers for a client accused of murder, she is unprepared for her attraction to him. But her venture into Shiftertown uncovers too many secrets the shifters want kept secret. The unmated Liam is forced to protect Kim against the wrath of his clan leader and his own father.

What Liam doesn't expect when he makes the mate claim for Kim's own protection is a powerful attraction to the courageous and warmhearted human woman.

This is the first book in the Shifters Unbound series.

Not what I thought it would be

The ending seemed good when Kim was sent home to continue on with her life, but then the return and pregnancy was cliche.

Intriguing

I admit that I had some trouble following the narration, not only because I couldn't tell some voices apart but because the "I perspective" was extended to all main characters. After figuring out the dynamics and how the story was told, I've really started enjoying the whole narration and development of the story.
Intriguing way of building a world and a story 🤔 This way O knew where they stood without having to guess.

Yay for Cris Dukehart!!

I've been asked many times over the years the following question: If you could live in one fictional world, what would it be? For me, it's Shifters Unbound. I would love for this brilliant, paranormal world to be real. I may not like the heat, but I'd move my ass to Austin, Texas in a heartbeat. Since that's not an option, I'm immersing myself in this world once again. After all, it is the perfect escape for me.

I've read Pride Mates five times and still loved it as much as I did the first time. Though there is not a new audiobook entry for Pride Mates listed here on Goodreads, the rights to the book reverted back to Jennifer Ashley and she had the narration redone. The new-and-improved audiobook was released earlier this month. How awesome is that? Now the entire series is narrated by Cris Dukehart and it FINALLY feels right. The original narrator for Pride Mates was more than a tad disappointing. I'm beyond thrilled that Ms. Ashley listens to her fans and gave us what we wanted, exceptional narration for a book that deserved it.

Best Ever

This is the second time I have read this series and I am getting different things out of it.
There is more personality in these shifters than other authors bring to the pages they write.
She puts so much feeling into the dialogue between the characters.
Keep em' coming

Good book

It was a good book, just lots of sex. So if you're not into that just be warned. Still definitely worth the listen and the credit.
