Oh my gawd! SERIOUSLY?!?

How dare you end the story there! I was captivated by every word. I love how real the characters are. Already reading book 2!

Great unique story!

Love anything by JL Drake! I swear she could make a recipe interesting! She makes you fall in love with her characters and as always leaves you with a cliffhanger… book 2 here I come!!

PERFECTION

Reading the book - Hands down one of my favorite MAFIAs. Talk about getting hooked from the beginning! This book put me through so many emotions, ups and downs, twists and turns, I just couldn't put it down and when I did, I went right back and read it again.
I loved the characters and the family dynamics but also knowing it's a mafia you need to dig deep to figure it out. And in J.L. Drake fashion she makes it Jaw-Dropping Impossible! I may have used a few explicit words at the ending.

Listening to the book - the characters came to life and made this book so much more delicious. Nelson and Anastasia did an incredible job and I can't wait to listen to book 2.

AN ADDICTIVE BINGE-LISTEN FOR SURE.. BUT CLIFFY

This is a new to me author, I love dark Mafia romances, liked the blurb and I gleefully thought great a new series to get lost in. And believe me, I was ▪️ALL IN ▪️ when it comes to Sienna and Elio’s thrilling rollercoaster second-chance with its secrets, suspense, danger, sinister web of who to trust and who not to trust and the rekindled feelings between childhood best friends built within and around the world of Mafia. The hours quickly flew by in a delicious flurry and sexy frenzy of feels for these reunited lovers as they battled their undying love, their mix of emotions and slowly let each other in. They had to tentatively build trust because the secrets were the chasm and their truths and revelations their bridge. And, I was blissfully away in their well-written nicely developing world of chemistry, sex, enemies, good men, family, love, loyalty, betrayal, suspects aaaaand bang!!!… a nasty rug pulling WTF CLIFFHANGER. I absolutely HATE IT when you’re not warned there’s a cliffhanger ending.. and they’ll continue until the fourth and final book (hopefully) reveals its happy ever after ending for these two. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed these books will be on Audible soon as I can’t wait to find out what trials and damage come next for the love torn couple in a Mafia wars world.

Worth a credit? Yes, a very enjoyable and climactic story with a lot of heart and danger running through its addictive chapters and it had that Godfather feel of family amidst the drama, betrayal, treachery and danger of Mafia life. The dual POV narration by Nelson as Elio, the handsome, sexy next in line to rule killer, was great and Anastasia, as the beautiful, damaged, confused, wounded, Reporter Sienna, was good too.
