Publisher's summary

Have you ever seen a fireman who's so insanely sexy you'd actually consider DIY-ing a little at-home arson just so he'd show up at your front door?

Dramatic, I know, but hear me out. Chiseled hot body, bright blue eyes, and the sexiest smile I've ever seen - the first time I saw Garrett Alexander in my exam room, it took everything inside me not to do something crazy like mount him during his yearly physical.

Not only is he a total babe, but he's charming, hilarious, and the kind of single dad that would make your ovaries explode - the total freaking package.

I know you're probably wondering, what in the heck are you waiting for, girl? Go get yourself a fireman! But, see, there's one teeny-tiny (read: huge) problem - if we got together, we'd have to keep our relationship a secret.

I know. Who even am I? Some heroine in a freaking forbidden romance novel? Let me guess, now you're probably thinking.... Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Don't do it, girl. Don't fall for the sexy, off-limits man. It's not worth it.

Well, too late. I already went and did it. And I have a feeling this fire of ours is going to go up in a big, mushroom-cloud-worthy ball of figurative smoke.

Contains mature themes.

loved it!

Great story and the narrators were the best!! It wasn't where they fall in love, the girl leaves for something stupid then get back together like so many other stories. No ...This book was funny with a great story. loved it

Hard pass for me

This is really long ik but if you read it you may just save a credit and your time.
I have a few problems with this book. While it is well written the actual characters are questionable. Let me start with the fact that there is almost no connection or reason for the H & h to be together. What I mean by this is that they never talk about anything of substance so it makes you wonder why every time they get together they like each other more and more. It’s a really shallow relationship. I thought the h was really funny and real at first but then she just goes along with the H despite not really being ok with his job. She keeps telling herself that it’s ok and that she gets it, but when he’s away fighting fires she’s at home suffering. Mind you she was already acting like that after only having one date with the H. There is also way too much inner dialog. I’m pretty sure there were at least a couple of chapters where all she did was think. Like on their first date all she really thought about was how hot the H was and she barely spoke to him. They’re really more in lust than in like with each other.
I respect that the H is a fireman I really do. He is saving lives but at the same time he is risking time with his children. The daughter is throwing out some red flags in my opinion and he just keeps laughing it off. Thats not ok. At one point she admitted that she was googling the dark web and he was just ok with it. SHE’S TWELVE! That is not ok in any way shape or form. At one point she made the joke to her father “let’s go score some heroin, hit up the clubs maybe even get some hookers.” And he just laughs at that and says sure sarcastically. Again she is twelve that kind of joke is never really ok to say to your father but in this case its even worse. I have more to say about this book but i just can’t keep dragging this review on so hope this helps. I hate to leave bad reviews but this one kinda need one being that there aren’t that many reviews and they’re both positive.
