Publisher's summary

If my time with Ryan Miller were a hit track on the radio, I imagine the lyrics would go something like this...

"We're so different, but they say opposites attract. Oops, I've fallen, and my heart doesn't want to come back."

His dad lives right next to my mom, and after the two of them suffered an unexplained accident while taking down holiday decorations, both Ryan and I were forced to become the only 30something residents of Sunny Creek Village Independent Senior Living Community.

Constantly thrown together by the antics of our crazy parents and the tough-as-nails community enforcer, Betty Matthews, Ryan and I formed an alliance for the sole purpose of survival. But I never expected to be so interested in finding out what he was hiding beneath his grumpy, serious demeanor. More than that, I never dreamed what I found would be the kind of man women sell their souls to the devil for.

Unfortunately, our little one-hit wonder on the airwaves has more to say before it comes to an end. Although, finishing the outro to this song is a real doozy....

Tell me...what lyric rhymes with "Oops, I've fallen for my future stepbrother"?

Contains mature themes.

Laugh out loud

I absolutely love this book! It was really hard to hold in my laughter in public. Sal and Stella was perfection.

I can’t continue listening!

This has nothing to do with the subject matter. It’s just that the writing is way too campy and ridiculous. And the voices of the readers, especially the male narrator, is nail bitingly over the top and grating. I actually can’t stand to listen to it any longer, and I’ve given it a good amount of time I’ll never get back. In actuality, it is exorbitantly stupid.

This may be a specific, if not comical genre, that I will not be revisiting.

Awful flow of her speech

Carly’s character had such a choppy reading voice it was distracting. Too staccato! I regret not listening to the sample prior to purchase.

Skip this one, DNF

This is one of the worst books I've listened to yet! Boring and plotless. I skipped ahead a few times to see if it got better but it didn't, and I could not finish! This one really missed the mark, I wouldn't waste your time or credit.
