Lots of twists, turns, intrigue, and a surprise ending! This is long but never boring!

Keeps you guessing

The performance was outstanding, and I will continue to books from this narrator. Good suspense but gruesome at times. Good psychological thriller.

There is a twist

This kept my interest. There are lots of twist and turns that makes it difficult to put down. Initially, I thought the accent of the reader was going to drive me nuts, but I got past it. I enjoyed it.

All over the place

The book was ok since it was free…it started off great but it was all over the place. I won’t spoil the book but it seemed to have a lot of unnecessary detail. The narrator read the entire book with a mouth full of spit that was hard to move past.

Unlike any book I’ve enjoyed in more than six years, author Kerry Barnes creates a psychological and nefarious thriller deluxe. Complete with pitch-perfect narration by Annie Aldington, “Voice of Reason” grabbed me from the very start and brought each and every character to vivid life. Following the powerful and corrupt Mason clan, bodies drop, surprises ensue and jaw-dropping twists and turns left me wanting more, more, more. Just when I thought I knew the finale of this bizarre whodunnit, Barnes zigzags and proves why this is an edge-of-your-seat listen. I’ve already purchased Book 2, “Voice of Rage.” I can’t stress it enough, get it! Working together with precision, I will be searching for more by these extremely talented women. Worthy of a treasured credit. An awesome nod to Audible for bringing us this hidden gem. So highly recommended, I can’t see to the top! I’m on that roof again shrieking, “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

Felt I was part of the book

Brilliantly written and had me wanting more and more, now going to get involved in voice of rage.

Twists and turns throughout the whole story. Very good listen and kept me guessing. I highly recommend this book

already bought book 2. so glad I stumbled onto this gem. narration is on point
