Interesting stories and plots; a little corny; definitely worth a listen, though.
Good plots. Writing was a bit on the girlie/corny side for the intimate scenes. And I still can’t forgive the author for missing one of the best comebacks of all time in Book 3 when his homophobic ex-girlfriend is trying to humiliate him with her hateful rant. Why, why, why didn’t Kane say “Well, hell, Alex. It’s probably dating you that made me gay.”

It’s different
I liked the story. It had a theme that I never heard before. The characters were well developed and I think they were “sappy “. To me their characters never changed. Their personalities never changed and they never argued. All couples never see eye to eye on everything like they did. The performance of the reader was amazing! He managed to give each character a voice identity. He masterfully accomplished the individual personality. Great job. He kept it interesting, loved him.

Great story!!
Loved that their story was throughout each title!! Their blossoming relationship made me fall for Cain and Luca even more!! Worth the credit!!!

Suspenseful
This was a great series. Lots of suspense and surprising events. Books 2 and 4 were slow at times, the but plot was amazing. Great narration.
To the author: using the word “pussy” the way Luca did in book 4 is insulting. In the scene, it is used to imply inferiority and weakness. Misogyny needs to stop.

Worth it
I really enjoyed this series. The overall plot was engaging and interesting. Luca’s story was by far the best book. With the exception of the whiny (almost nasally) reader , it was worth listening w.

The character’s name is Luca!
One of the protagonists of the the series is named Luca. Michael Dean is usually a great narrator, but in this series he flips back and forth between Luca and Lucas’s when the language is singular possessive. It was maddening, and I almost turned it off several times.

Judgy and kinda sexist MC
I bailed after 3 hours. The detective MC had a sexist/judgmental inner dialogue as well as internalized homophobia, although he wasn’t outwardly homophobic. I couldn’t get past it as a queer & trans person. Maybe it gets better but I’m not into the bullying trope anyways, this one’s not for me.

Chapters keep cutting off
The chapters keep cutting off, and it is very annoying because I get into the book and as I am getting into it by the end of the chapter, it will cut off in the middle of a character making a statement
