Very entertaining

Really enjoyed the book it was fun to listen to the story. The main character was a spoiled brat in the beginning but he grew on me. The narrator is awesome! Just purchased the next book in the series.

great story but..

Not the best voice for the embodiment of hope. definitely a melodic voice that is easy to listen too but not a match for the character.

Campy but Fun

Fun ride, and the bundle made it a real bargain. I enjoyed the narrator. I'll definitely continue the series!

Worth a listen.

It follows a familiar pattern that I enjoy and was an awesome bargain that I recommend, good voice work and quality, and 4 for being an excellent version of a cheesy genre.

Great Series

I almost didn't buy this due to first couple reviews. So glad I bought it.I thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 books and bonus novella. great character development. I also loved this narrator he made a great picture in my head along with the books author. I recommend this series. very funny parts real emotions and depth with characters. looking forward to get next books

Great characters

The writing draws you into his world, the characters have dimension. Funny and sad but wildly entertaining!

Started in the middle, but went back to the beginning

I love listening to series where the stories progress. But I started in the middle and that was ok because the stories were complete in themselves. I love the Templeverse! Suggest it for anyone who like real people & situations with magic thrown into the middle. Highly recommend this series!!!’

Amazing!

I love this series! I was looking for something to read after devouring several other popular fantasy novels and series! I love the allusions and references to other works of art and literature!! It’s a different take on the wizard and very different from novels written by women! Loved all of it!

Fantastic Series, I'm hooked

I would put in the same realm of the Dreden Files series. I know that might rub some people the wrong way, but that is exactly what I would compare this too. I really enjoyed this box set, all four books were very exciting. The story, and the characters, and the narration. I am really looking forward to the next Box set to this series.

Be careful of some of the reviews you read, I had put this series off five years now because I had read some reviews and saw some criticism of Joel Richards narration sounding too monotone. I really have missed out on this series because of those reviews. Narration is so incredibly important of a facet to listening to audiobooks, at least it is to me. Regardless Joel will win you over, he is a very good narrator, if you only listen to the sample, you will not ascertain how talented he really is. Don't let those reviews fool you, because this is an elite series and if you are a fan of urban fantasy this series will rank up there with the best of them. I will have no issues listening to a Joel Richards Narrated book going forward. He is incredibly skilled, and now I will always associate his voice with Nate Temple.

Wasn't the worst thing I've heard, the "performance" in book 1 was a bit rough though.
