Publisher's summary

Kaya Reynolds is a distraction, a rage-inducing pain in the butt, and an absolute magnet for trouble. But when you're a Rogues agent, you don't get to pick your assignments. Unfortunately, you don't get to decline them either. And that's how I ended up fake engaged to the most infuriating woman I've ever met.

The Rogues Division is a top-secret, highly-classified, "I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you" kind of organization. The kind of organization the government pretends not to love having at its disposal.

Kaya Reynolds is our latest asset. If I want to bring down the man who killed my fiancé, I've got to keep her safe. Thing is, the last time I saw her, she kissed the hell out of me...because she was being chased by his goons and she needed a distraction. But something sparked between us—something I have no business thinking about day and night. Especially when we're only pretending to like each other. Aren't we? Yes we are!

This marriage is just for show. I refuse to be tempted by my curvy assignment's soft satin lips, dark mischievous eyes, or the way she looks at me. Even when we're not playing our roles....But nope, NOPE! I lost someone I loved once. And I'm not letting anybody else into my heart. I'm not going there with the woman I'm only pretending to love. It's all about staying in control. And I won't let her tempt me into losing mine.

Gentlemen Rogues #2

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Nana Malone. I definitely want to get book one of this series after listening to this book. It's definitely a standalone for I didn't feel like I missed anything. I only wish I knew Lachlan and Saffron's story. Nana Malone wrote well with an excellent storyline and easy to like characters. Saint and Kaya were perfect for one another. Their story kept me on the edge of my seat. I look forward to listening to more of this series.

Full of suspense...

The Saint was a great book that's action packed, suspenseful and full of heat. This is Saint and Kaya's story. It's a forced proximity, fake engagement story with all the feels.

I absolutely loved the narration. Aiden Snow and Kyo Sija were the perfect Saint and Kaya. They really brought these characters to life.

A Gripping Romantic🔥Suspense!🎧Terrific📚Listen🎧

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story is well written and it grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. The two lead characters, Jasper Saint and Kaya Reynolds, intrigued me and I wanted to know more about them, and the same goes for the Rouges. Despite being a standalone, I think I would have enjoyed this book even more if I had read or listened to the first two books, I did not feel like I was missing anything, I just think it would have been beneficial to be familiar with the existing world, that said I will definitely check out the earlier books in the series. I loved the layers of the story and the depth of these characters. Billionaire and swoon worthy Saint has a lot going on with his family’s business on top of his work with the Rogues. Kaya is not your ordinary college student, she is so much more. Her mother disappeared when she was fifteen and she was trying to find out what happened to her and was hoping to find her. She has a lead and goes for it, but it backfires and winds up putting a target on her back. She trusts no one even when Saint steps in wanting to be her savior, but after a few bullets shoot their way, it was enough to convince her he was not the bad guy. Or was he? Both have their secrets and he could only share so much and she needed to figure out who she could trust. This cleverly plotted romantic suspense has a perfect balance of drama, angst, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Nana Malone, thank you for this great story and wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the terrific narration, Shane East and Kyo Sija are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited their persona and was believable in every role they played. Shane East was a natural in his role as Saint, swoon worthy and all, Sija nailed it as Kaya, both grasped all sides of their character’s personality, their strengths and their vulnerabilities. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

I was hooked from beginning to end!

This audiobook was fantastic! I have really enjoyed reading books by this author, who specializes in writing books about biracial couples. She also developing the Brown Nipple Club, which encourages us to read books about minority heroes and heroines. This romantic suspense story is part of the Gentleman Rogues series, about a secret clandestine government organization of attractive, wealthy, high profile agents who have access to places that the average citizens do not. I have not read the first book in the series, and while there were references to events and people that I didn't have previous knowledge about, the book reads perfectly well as a standalone novel. The meeting between the hero and heroine starts out intense and the chemistry between them stays that way between them throughout the entire book. Boy is it hot! Both characters have well developed histories and complex emotions. The hero is so swoony and the heroine strong and independent. The journey from their meeting to their happily ever after was a real page-turner, and I was hooked from beginning to end, desperate to go back and read the first two books in the series and wait anxiously for the next. Shane East never disappoints and he delivered in a big way reading the POV of Jasper Saint and Kyo Sija read Kaya’s POV perfectly. The narrators breathed life into a book that I had already loved and I would highly recommend it if you are an audiobook lover. I am voluntarily submitting this review after reading an advanced complementary copy and listening to a complementary copy of this audiobook.

The Saint!!

Kaya and Saint’s story is that of an instant attraction that quickly progresses to falling in love. Initially they have love-hate encounters filled with tons of chemistry because one of them refuses to concede to the other person. However, they work everything out in the end. I liked the twists and turns of their story, the action packed sequences and the commentary from their friends! They were forced to live together early on because of some dicey circumstances which led them to trust each other so they could get what they both wanted. Shane East was a wonderful narrator as always, but Kyo Sija was new to me and also did a great job narrating. It was an interesting listening experience.

The Saint: Gentlemen Rogues, Book 3

PERFORMANCE: Obviously, Shane East did an exceptional job with the narration of this story. I say obviously because I have yet to come across an audio narration by him that I have not been head over heels about! Kyo Sija is a new narrator to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed her. They both did a really good job bringing this story to life for me and I look forward to listening to a lot more from them both!

STORY: Every time I experience a story by Nana Malone I want to kick myself for not having read all the words!! The opportunity to listen to The Saint came via Valentine PR about three weeks ago and because of my Scribd subscription I was able to jump to the beginning of this particular series with first The Heir and then The King before jumping into The Saint. Well, I am ridiculously happy that I could do that because it gave me a more comprehensive understanding of The Rogues Division team and their mission but more importantly, the secondary characters. If you’re not super picky on this, the story does provide key information from previous storylines when it’s necessary, but for me, that’s just not enough *shrug* SO, this is me not calling this a standalone, LOL But I digress, let’s talk about The Saint :)

There are a lot of circumstances rolling thru this story that will keep you on your toes and on the edge. Some of those I saw coming but others, not so much. It was a perfect combination of both, in my opinion. For me, this story was more suspense than romance which is a ridiculous distinction to make about a *romantic suspense*, I know, but I felt the mystery overshadowed the building of the relationship a bit and if I was asked if these two would ”go the distance till death do us part”, I might just answer ”maaaaaaaaybe”. That by no means lessen my overall listening experience about this couple, but it’s just a fact. They had excellent chemistry and of course I felt their attraction, but *sigh* I dunno…

As for character development, storyline fluidity and series cohesiveness, mad props for a job well done all around! I don’t have too much experience with this author, but I do with this series, as I mentioned earlier, and the arc of the group and their missions is riveting and very attractive to the reader. You can’t just stop at one book, or at least I don’t recommend it LOL

Trouble on all fronts

Jasper has problems, family problems, business problems, work relations problems and then a woman walks into his life. What does she bring? More problems but also a love worth everything.

Great read

I really enjoyed The Saint. Forced proximity, fake engagement, interracial romance that brings all the emotions. Kaya and Jasper’s story was action packed with tension, chemistry and drama.

Shane East and Kyo Sija did a really great job bringing Jasper and Kaya to life. They narrated the characters perfectly.

Steamy and suspenseful

The accents and character’s voices were absolutely amazing. The narrators truly brought these characters to life and created a whole world for me to get lost in. It felt like James Bond met a steamy romance. There was action, suspense and so much heat. It was a mystery I couldn’t wait to solve.

Action and adventure

First, you just can not go wrong with Shane East, and he proves that once again with Nana Malone's The Saint. Kyo Sija was completely new to me, but she certainly held her own as the voice of Kaya. Both narrators did an excellent job of bringing out the drama and intrigue as well as the romance.
This is the third book in the Gentleman Rogues series, and while I haven't had the pleasure of reading the first two, the storyline here is easy enough to keep up with. I do intend to catch up on those earlier books because now that I've met the Rogues, I want all the details. If they're as fast-paced as this one, I'm in for some heart-racing reading and/or listening time. As mentioned, the storyline is easy to follow, and we're given everything we need to know for this book. That said, I still hesitate to call it a standalone because there are some unanswered questions, and the epilogue leaves us with a bit of a cliffy (I'm assuming that's a lead-in for the next book).
Do be prepared for plenty of action with your romance. Kaya and Saint's story has flavors of Mission: Impossible and Bourne Identity combined with a steamy romance that certainly sees its fair share of miscommunication. This pair also sees plenty of danger with some near misses and, of course, a kidnapping - once you start reading and figure things out, you'll understand that mentioning a kidnapping is not giving away the book's secrets. It pretty much has to happen with this kind of storyline.
To sum it up, The Saint is everything I've come to expect from Nana Malone, and paired with Shane East and Kyo Sija for the narration, this one is a must-listen.
