A real surprise
I got this book because I heard that it was very good but I didn't have High hopes as I am not a fan of historical romances. I was pleasantly surprised to find an intriguing and engaging storyline with characters that I really came to love and hate. at times the characters were very frustrating but we're very. appropriate. the ending is uplifting

Fabulous
A rich, layered story with multi-dimensional mature characters who you wish you could spend more time with after the book ends. And I learned about a time in history relatively unfamiliar to me. I enjoyed the narration and the Scottish accents! Tremendous book!

Clean, entertaining, dramatic and love story, all the things!
I did enjoy this story a lot, like one reviewer said, it took a bit to get going so stick with it, things build and before too long you can’t stop listening. I sure hope there is or will be a sequel because lady “A” and her father have some explaining to do 😡
