Some Agatha Christie short stories--very enjoyable

A collection of short fiction works, including not only Miss Marple and Poirot but several of her other detectives. Well narrated!

Great narration, ok stories

This is the 3rd collection of Christie shorts that I have finished and they are very hit or miss. They aren't bad but a lot of them are uninteresting. The center few were the best. I found Parker Pine the winning slueth in this anthology

narration was good

The sound quality faded in and out at times, making it difficult to hear the dialog

Breathy Biscuits

It’s the narration that does it for me. Hugh Fraser in particular brings a feast of accents and cheekiness, making me feel that I am just as clever as Mr. Poirot in unmasking the culprit.

However, if breathy narration drives you nuts, then this may not be for you. Or rather, those shorts narrated by Ms. Hickson, starting with the very first, with her breaths and swallows, may have you screaming at her to drink some tea and step back from the mic.

I prefer Agatha Christie in short form, so these stories, all under an hour except the last one, are scrumptious biscuits for an afternoon listen.

Good portrayal

The narrators were very good. But I am used to listening and watching these actors, so it was easy for me.

OK Listen, not great

This is my first Agatha Christie. I was hoping to be blown away. I was not. It was interesting but I had hoped for more. The stories seem to frequently end abruptly with no epilogue to close the story

Great choice of stories

I enjoyed the stories being told by familiar voices. I would listen to another volume.

Wonderful as usual

No one will EVER match Dame Agatha. She is the best there will ever be.
