Good story, but a little bit slow

I enjoyed this story, but it did drag a bit at times. The reader was excellent, but I think I would have preferred to read this book over listening to it since I could have jumped past the slow parts more easily. Despite of the slower parts, I thought this book was interesting and I would recommend it.

Enjoyable Story

The narrator-artist was excellent making the book much more enjoyable. The mystery was just enough to create intrigue as a backdrop to the romance. Each of the characters were interesting and woven into the tapestry of the story.

Shadows of Swanford Abbey

This story was suspenseful and fun. As always the narrator’s voice, Elizabeth Jasicki can make each character in the story have their own voice. Loved the ending too!

Believable Settings and Characters

Julie Klassen has created a suspenseful novel that had me intrigued from the beginning. The characters are well-rounded and the setting descriptions are vivid. Elizabeth Janice's narration enhanced my enjoyment of the novel.

Better ending than beginning

I found the beginning of this book to drag. I had to bring the speed up to 1.6 in order for it to keep my interest but it got better as it went along the ending was pretty good.

Great Book by one of my favorite Authors!

Great book, great narration. Haven’t yet found a book by Julia that I don’t like. Please write many books!

Not her best effort

I have read and loved many of this author's books but this didn't have the same power to draw me in. I was an outsider rather than feeling like the characters were best friends. It was clean and something I could listen to in the car with my kids there but not something I would listen to again.

As other reviews have noted, there were more christian references than her other books but I didn't feel she was preaching at me like some authors that I quit listening to or reading due to the fact that their books became more preaching than story.

Excellent Reading

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have other books by the author.
And I have enjoyed the well done resding by the narrator.

Great Romance Mystery

I enjoy Julie Klassen’s stories! This one was filled with mystery and had me guessing all the way through; the romance was also really sweet! The audio version was just right. I always look forward to listening to Julie Klassen‘s works.

Excellent listen

This author and narrator are a dynamic duo. Absolutely can't go wrong! Great character development and I was kept guessing throughout the whole novel.
