Publisher's summary

What is the opposite of love? Many would say hate, but studying the Bible reveals that it is actually fear. Fear leads us to make harmful decisions and live unproductive, unhappy, and unfruitful lives. Love is the key to a fruitful life, but love must be more than a feeling. Love must be an action, a choice. Choosing love over fear is the most powerful choice we can make.

Kenny Vaughan brings this timeless discussion back to the forefront of our spiritual exploration by teaching us to view life as a fruit-bearing tree. When we feed the roots with love, the tree flourishes, and we enjoy the blessings that grow upon it. If we deprive our roots, however if we allow fear to cut us off from love then the whole tree withers and dies. Utilizing both scripture and anecdotes from modern life, The Right Fight teaches us how to tend our roots, grow our fruit, and, through the grace of God, cast fear out for good.

Some good points

Vaughan makes some great points & I think he’s onto something here, but the delivery was rough. There are so many personal stories that the message almost gets lost & at times, he says in 3 paragraphs what could have been said in a few sentences.
Chapter 9 has the narrator reading & rereading a statement, trying to get the emphasis right on the word he wants to highlight. It is surely an oversight on the part of the sound team & an easy fix.
Overall, the book is just okay. I love the principles, but the writing style & the overwhelming amount of personal stories distracts.

Great book

This is a great book. One chapter was repeated in the audible version and I had to buy a hard copy of the book to read it. But it was completely worth buying both ways - so I didn’t mind.

One of a kind

There’s many books that speak on the same position with just different stories on how they reached a level of success or got to a certain place in their life. This book will place you inside of the story through feelings that every single person can relate to. Theoretically through the eyes of Jesus you find yourself using his principles in understanding how and why people (including yourself) start to act in a certain way. The way you react is who you are. Through the power of love all things are possible.

Excellent Life Changing Book

I follow Kenny on Instagram, he is blessed with the ability to take complex theological issues and simplify them down to where anyone can understand. This book with his life stories and his gift to be relatable to others will make you rethink how you approach your relationships with anyone you come in contact with. I highly recommend listening to this or picking up a copy to read over.
