Inspiring

This book was easy to listen to because Ryan is a great speaker. It makes a huge difference to hear the author speaking/teaching on their subject versus someone reading words. Thank you Ryan for this content, it’s what I needed to hear at a crossroads in life looking ahead to what could be next.

This Has Been Life Changing

My fear of failure was debilitating. I came up with every excuse and reason to “not“. Ryan presents a fresh perspective and insight that is not anything I have ever heard anywhere else. Especially loved the fact that he included that the advice of “never giving up“ is not really the best advice. So true! And so many truths found in this book. So thankful I stumbled on it.

Relatable and a must read

Chasing failure includes Ryan’s own story about chasing failure and gives lessons and inspirational advice on how to chase failure in your own life. Whether you are seeking improvements in your work, personal or mental life, anyone can take away some key points from this fast listen!

A very different self-help book

Initially, I couldn’t get past the author’s “podcast sphere” vibes. But I kept listening and ended up really enjoying the book. I think the premise of this book is explained by the title pretty well. However, I didn’t expect its messages and tone to be as concise and down to earth as it is. What I particularly liked was the author implementing reader questions about previous versions of the book (and the author’s life). I haven’t seen this done with a self-help book before and have to commend the author for doing so. It really makes sense and serves to underline the main ideas. Overall, I’m very happy I found this book and know I will keep coming back to it for reference.

Loved the vulnerability

So many books are painted in perfect light but I love how this book is about growth from failure and he shows us his growth from even writing the book! Wow, such a great story and a perspective that made an impact on me. I always felt that failure was vital in growth but there’s always more to learn and I love a great story.

Great narration, motivating

As a recovering perfectionist, the concept of chasing failure really appeals to me. Leak is a lively and funny narrator. Christian-themed but not overwhelmingly so. Recommend for anyone looking to try new things and adopt a positive mindset.
