Publisher's summary

Most of us have no idea how others see or process their experiences. And that can make relationships hard, whether with intimate partners, with friends, or in our professional lives. Understanding the motivations and dynamics of these different personality types can be the key that unlocks sometimes mystifying behavior in others - and in ourselves.

This book from Suzanne Stabile on the nine Enneagram types and how they behave and experience relationships will guide listeners into deeper insights about themselves, their types, and others' personalities so that they can have healthier, more life-giving relationships. No one is better equipped than the coauthor of The Road Back to You to share the Enneagram's wisdom on how relationships work - or don't.

Why do Sixes seem so intimidated and put off by Eights, who only wish the Sixes would stop mulling things over and take action?

Why do Fives seem so unavailable, even to their closest family and friends, while Twos seem to feel everybody else's feelings but their own and end up irritating people who don't want their help?

How in the world can Fours be so open and loving to you one day and restrained and distant other times?

The Enneagram not only answers these questions but gives us a way out of our usual finger pointing and judging of other people - and finding them wanting, perplexing, or impossible.

Suzanne's generous, sometimes humorous, and always insightful approach reveals why all the types behave as they do. This book offers help in fostering more loving, mature, and compassionate relationships with everyone in our lives.

Helpful thinking and feeling guidance for an Eight

As an Eight, my life with the Enneagram is significantly richer. Suzanne gives her guidance in clear, actionable (good for the doer) instruction. She serves this up however through thoughtful parable and with heavy does of her Two feeling which is so difficult for me to access.

This book offers an excellent recap on the Nine numbers for experiencing the world - the most concise and clearest I have known.

Subsequently, there is a chapter for each number that tenderly addresses the challenges the number faces in relating to others and gives recommendations for how to optimize your relationships with each number.

Suzanne Stabile is a living authority on this ancient spiritual practice and it is a treat to listen to her read this book in her own voice.

A must own.

I love Suzanne Stabile!

Suzanne Stabile has taught me more about the Enneagram, life, and people than any other Enneagram master or teacher in general. I own a physical copy of this book, but listening to it again in Suzzane’s voice gave new insights. She’s just a really great teacher! Im so grateful to have discovered her, and get to learn from her.

The perfect companion book!

This book gives a deeper look into each type and how to relate with one another which, I think, is what we are all looking for.
I was wrongly labeled a certain number on the enneagram by some well-meaning friends, but wasn’t convinced of their declaration,
After reading this book (after the first The Road Back to You), i truly discovered my core values and felt set free by the discovery of my number and wings on the enneagram.
I listened for my husband’s number and my children’s number and I feel like this is such a great tool for helping relate and communicate with each of each.

A wonderful lesson on tolerance!

this book helped me to understand myself and others that I love. People do things sometimes that make no sense to me. it helps me understand why, and why they're just doing the best the way they know how.

Great book!

One of the most helpful books I’ve read in quite awhile. Very helpful in relationships, self discovery and for teams. An appreciation for others and and our differences. Great stuff!

Building stronger relationships with understanding

I appreciate Suzanne’s ability to share her enneagram wisdom in regard to how we relate to one another in our daily lives and how we can learn to build better relationships because of this knowledge. Also, l love Suzanne’s voice and that she was able to share her writing in her own audio. Thank you.
