I love it!

I really liked this one... it was better than the first book! I only wish it gave a little more at the end.

Entertaining!

I loved this book much more than the first. Both of their backgrounds were intense and I can see why they both lacked communication. Their were parts in the book that I wished Gianna would go off more. After everything her dad put her through I wished she had more sass but overall I was very invested!

heartbreaking and beautiful love story-we all need a Christian

two broken people that learn how to love. strong and honest heroin. loyal and possessive Hero. I honestly felt like I watched them fall in love with each other. I enjoyed their banter and very hot sex scenes.

All the feels!!!

Soooo good!! What a great second book in the series. The narrators were new to me and wow they did a great job. Matt had a whispery tone but can impact some serious growl 🥵 Vanessa really brought Gianna to life and I am so happy that she got a HEA after book 1. The story was so well written with humor and sex appeal and just general intrigue, you know how it will pan out but it’s still a great ride till the end.

Worth it

I think this book was really good. I like the growth of Gianna she was my favorite she was messy and not prefect . She was broken but not overly pathetic about it (sorry not sorry). She was snarky and honest which I loved. She wasn’t overly annoying when pursuing the MML. And she was willing to stand up for her self even if it hurt.

I’ve read 30+ books since taking the time to review one but this one was TOO GOOD not to. It’s now one of my favorites!

Great story... but the narration...

I really love this story and am looking forward to listening to book three in the series.

The female narrator did a wonderful job. When I read the book on my kindle, I assumed Gianna had more of an accent which would explain her getting the American sayings wrong. That would be the only thing I felt was lacking with Vanessa's performance.

The male narrator was not the right fit for this at all. I can't even say it's based on what I assumed when I read the book in ebook form. I'm saying it's not the right fit because the character is so cold and intense for most, if not all, of the book. The narrator sounded like the serial killer villain in a crime show.
In my mind, I couldn't stop seeing Kevin Spacey as the serial killer in Seven with Brad Pitt.
Christian was mean to be unsettling, a tad off putting so that when his story arc came full circle his idiosyncrasies became endearing. But the voice... was everything it shouldn't have been. He stayed in the "maybe he's a sociopath" column and that takes away from the HEA in the end.
