this is so good

one of my favorite series here one of the best cultivation books ever ❤️

The ending is good

I'm through book 7 at this time. That said, this book and the series are excellent.

The supposed " bad ending" is nonsense. Every element leading to the ending is laid out so that if you pay attention the inevitable result is obvious. I don't know what people want, but it seems that they are mad because a bad guy is getting some power too.

Now that I have covered that. The series is a really good western style cultivation. It eases you into the system it uses through a few books rather than info dumping everything at the start. It provides just enough so that you know what is going on, but not so much that you feel overwhelmed. In the same vein, it world builds organically. That may not seem like a big deal, but after you have read a few hundred fantasy books you start so see that a lot of authors are more excited about all the details of the world they have created than about telling a good story. So, I am always happy to find a book which makes telling me about the world an outgrowth of telling me a story rather than the other way around.

Fun fast paced cultivation

Would recommend this book if you like cultivation. I found this book refreshing because of the way the author keeps the story line moving.

Set-up

The set-up can be really obvious. The story gets to be way too telegraphed.

epilogue was terrible.

after building up an MC and a great fight. everyone could foresee that the antagonist was gonna survive to fight another day. fighters always confirm their kills. now you have an even more OP antagonist. why would you continue with this character. terrible ending.

Amazing Story

The story is great and I'm glad the "System" isn't heavily used around every other sentence like other stories, But I didn't like the fact that Greenrow didn't die in the end, even when Kai was close to killing him several times something else happened and he lived.. plot armor is strong with this one.

the epilogue was stupid

this book has only a few flaws and that is why it gets 4 stars but I will probably not continue this series because of the utterly stupid epilogue. I hate when an author gets lazy and just gives power to characters that should be DEAD.

I have almost no desire to continue this story knowing that this character will continue to be an antagonist.

A fun listen at work

Overall, this is a good book, but the plot is a bit messy. Most of the time, a problem and its solution comes out of nowhere. The best example is when the MC has his soul crippled so he cant get too strong, only to find an ancient soul form an interplanetary empire who knows how to fix the problem. He never had to struggle to fix it or anything. The entire time I was thinking "why cripple him, then just throw away that entire plot for nothing?" Other then problems like that, its a fun book

Excellent story but.

The first book was excellent a good example of a cultivations story but once you get into the second one the story legs a little bit. The ending of the second book was so totally predictable when it comes to what happened in the epilogue. Anyone who is reading this book probably knew exactly what was going to happen. It was such a cliché I groaned when I got to that point. It’s not like it hasn’t happened in millions of other novels. We’ll see what happens I have a feeling that this storyline is starting to fall into a rut but I will at least read the next book.
