AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Another thrilling domestic suspense novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Couple Next Door and Not a Happy Family

The End of Her will keep you guessing right up to the end . . . once you pick it up, you will not want to put it down.”—USA Today

"[Shari Lapena is] the queen of the one-sit read"Linwood Barclay

A long-ago accident—and a visitor from out of the blue. . .

Stephanie and Patrick are adjusting to life with their colicky twin girls. The babies are a handful, but even as Stephanie struggles with the disorientation of sleep deprivation, there's one thing she's sure of: she has all she ever wanted.

Then Erica, a woman from Patrick's past, appears and makes a disturbing accusation. Patrick had always said his first wife's death was an accident, but now Erica claims it was murder.

Patrick insists he's innocent, that this is nothing but a blackmail attempt. Still, Erica knows things about Patrick—things that make Stephanie begin to question her husband. Stephanie isn't sure what, or who, to believe. As Stephanie's trust in Patrick begins to falter, Patrick stands to lose everything. Is Patrick telling the truth—is Erica the persuasive liar Patrick says she is? Or has Stephanie made a terrible mistake?

How will it end?

As good as the reviews!

Give it a chance and you will not be disappointed at the end. I am looking forward to book two!

All hail the queen 👸🏻👸🏻of the page turners.
You’d think the plot of the wife and husband who are living happily in life would be just another one of those books. But no. It’s not. It’s crazy from chapter 2 until the end. And each of the characters introduced have a place in the story and it falls together brilliantly. Sorry where was i ....cut to an x lover comes back to Stir the pot. And that she does.
The way Shari puts those twists and turns are what makes her stand out an author like no other.
This book is not what you think and it’s wasn’t you guessed. It’s totally the opposite and the ENDING ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Is. The. Best.

unrealistic character choices

The story is not bad but I'm not even finished yet and had to stop and write out my frustration. Although I've never left a written review before, I feel very frustrated with character actions. Without spoilers the one couple had everything to gain by calling the police to report the extortion. It would have protected them and the adopted son as well as corroborated the others story about the women villan. The main characters wife was unbelievable. Seriously, who let's their self get so sleep deprived to the point of dangerousness with out getting help. That was lamely explained away by saying she couldn't sleep with someone else watching the babies. if you are that exhausted for that long of a duration, your body would over ride your brain. In short I found that most of the characters made ridiculous unbelievable decisions.

It was great until..

The book was a really easy listen. There were some good twists and turns. The ending was a little disappointing. It didn’t feel like it wrapped up. The book was headed in a good direction and at the end it seems it just gave up and slapped an ending on.

Overly detailed

The book doesn’t really pick up until the last 10 chapters. It’s very slow and repetitive. I thought the voice actress was fine but There wasn’t a huge distinction between characters which made it hard to follow at times.

Very repetitive and disappointing ending

A lot of whining, the same thoughts over and over again from one of the main characters. I fast forward when that character was speaking. The one time I needed more details at ending and I was left hanging. Several times I almost gave up with the book but I had a lot of time invested in it.

Erika

I found it interesting that Erika’s demise could have been at the hands of multiple people!

It was ok

Not in the least believable. You have to suspend disbelief. It was an ok story but the ending was trite and unsatisfactory.

My least favorite of her books

This is my least favorite of her books. I truly enjoyed Someone We Know and The Couple Next Door. The narrator did an excellent job! Her voice was perfect!
