Dr. Deepak Chopra, a respected New England endocrinologist, began his search for answers when he saw patients in his own practice who completely recovered after being given only a few months to live. In the mid-1980s he returned to his native India to explore Ayurveda, humanities most ancient healing tradition. Now he has combined the current research of Western medicine, neuroscience, and physics with the insights of Ayurvedic theory to show that the human body is controlled by a "network of intelligence" grounded in quantum reality.
Not a superficial psychological state, this intelligence lies deep enough to change the basic patterns that design our physiology, with the potential to defeat cancer, heart disease, and even aging. In this inspiring and pioneering work, Dr. Chopra offers us both a fascinating intellectual journey and a deeply moving chronicle of hope and healing.

"Dr. Chopra is a fine, evocative writer who maneuvers his way suavely through medicine, physics, and metaphysics. For anyone who has awaited a Tao of medicine, this book is a most welcome arrival." (The New England Journal of Medicine)
Great Reading!...I only wish it had been longer, which is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 It touches on one's ability for self-healing, but could go into even more detail with more stories for an even longer book. I hope another book follows in the very near future.
Living Life one day at a time. Closing the gap and deliberately looking for better feeling thoughts in order to co-create a better future!
Oh my god Deepak! Thank you so much for all you do, for this wonderful book, and for all your books which are great. You have such a gift of explaining difficult materials in a very simple way so we all can get benefit. May life give it back to you multiplied with happiness, joy, health, love, money and all the wishes of your heart.
I love you and thank you for changing my perspective, for changing my life.
Very good information here for those interested in the mind/body connection. The author reads alternately with a woman narrator, which I found really helped the pacing of this book. I will agree with another reviewer who longed for a bit more content - this is rather short. Including some of the healing meditations would have added some valuable content and bumped up the review to a 5 star.
I really enjoyed this book. The information was interesting and well presented, and the stories were great. The problem is that, for the price, it was way too short! I was left with a lot of questions and disappointed that no techniques were described in detail. With more content, I would have given it 5 stars.
A new way to understand your body.
