Audie Award Finalist, Paranormal, 2014

New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Larry Correia sets this gritty urban fantasy, a sequel to Hard Magic and Spellbound, in an alternate noir 1930s. A tough P.I. battles an interdimensional monster that wants to suck magic power out of the world.

Only a handful of people in the world know that mankind's magic comes from a living creature, and it is a refugee from another universe. The Power showed up here in the 1850s because it was running from something. Now it is 1933, and the Power's hiding place has been discovered by a killer. It is a predator that eats magic and leaves destroyed worlds in its wake. Earth is next.

Former private eye Jake Sullivan knows the score. The problem is, hardly anyone believes him. The world's most capable Active, Faye Vierra, could back him up, but she is hiding from forces that think she is too dangerous to live. So Jake has put together a ragtag crew of airship pirates and Grimnoir knights - and set out on a suicide mission to stop the predator before it is too late.

Right-wing fantasy.

Where does Warbound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

6 of 10

Would you recommend Warbound to your friends? Why or why not?

My friends are Progressives and know the reality of the FDR programs that raised our nation out of corporate caused financial collapse. His anti-labor stance is very offensive to thinking, working people. I'm sorry to have rewarded his republican fantasy by purchasing this or any of his books.

What does Bronson Pinchot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Excellent narrative performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the author referred to "Union leaders sucking at the teat of government," I was so disgusted that I was unable to finish the book.

Any additional comments?

Larry Corriea is way to right-wing for me to tolerate.

Great finish to a great series

Would you listen to Warbound again? Why?

All ready have. In fact listened to all three again. Enjoyed as much, if not more than first time.

What other book might you compare Warbound to and why?

Hard to compare since have not read a book like it. American history mixed with alternative universe.
If had to pick, Theft of swords by Michael Sullivan. Believable characters, humor and interesting story line.

Which scene was your favorite?

Faye in dead city

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"It!s just like history class.... With one VERY important difference."

Any additional comments?

Well worth your audible credits. I like to get a "best bang for the buck" as we'll as good story. Being around 16 hours long, this has both.

Would you listen to Warbound again? Why?

I will wait a while befor I listen to this lot again - it makes anything else I have listened to recently a little insipid

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jake Sullivan is the man - sort of Mike Hammer meets Vin Diesel meets Indiana Jones

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene where Fay was in Berlin

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When lady Ori made Jake a duck

Any additional comments?

Please mr Larry Correira hurry up and write the next one

I love this series and Bronson Pinchot is great

Where does Warbound rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 20

Who was your favorite character and why?

Faye, absolutely. Her naivete and genuine innocence is charming, and her power level is amazing, yet she stays humble, thanks to her upbringing. She is thoroughly enjoyable.

Which character – as performed by Bronson Pinchot – was your favorite?

Jake Sullivan. He portrays the character as gently spoken but intelligent, just as the book describes him.

Any additional comments?

If you haven't listened to the first two books in the series, do yourself a favor and download them first. This is a series worth listening to.

Amazing

Not usually given to writing reviews but these titles more than deserve it. Larry Correia is an excellent writer. And would recommend any of his titles.
The narration by Bronson Pinchot. Out of this world. Tokugawa!! Hope to see more collaborations from these two in the future.

A great read!

The last book in the Grimnoir series. Love the WW2 meets X-men concept. A fantastic read, worth every cent!
