love this book

I am a die-hard Simon r Green fan. I have read this series before in paperback, and the audiobook does not disappoint! any sci-fi or dark urban fantasy fan should read any part of any of the Simon r Green series that they can get their hands on!

one of my favorite series

I did not like the narration. He did not do it justice. I didn't feel my Eddie.

I absolutely loved it the man with the golden torc I chuckled often within th narration just loved it!!!!

Great story, disappointing narration

My introduction to the series was a later book narrated by Gideon Emery, who is wonderful. Apparently the first two books are being released as audiobooks with this narrator. Between the characterization and timing it is painfully broadly comic in tone. The subtle wit and serious drama gets lost, and female characters become drag caricatures. Really disappointing. I am debating just skipping the second book and resuming the series where Emery is narrating.

Great story!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The story goes from one crisis to another, yet provides great details during each event. It grabs your attention as you follow Edwin Drood and his confrontations with his family. Stuart Blinder narrates the story well!

great narration and a great twist on "old" trophs.

really enjoyed getting to know this character and love all the Bond references, the Druidic roots with a whole new world that I want to know more about!!!

love this book

having read the book previously I was surprised by the choice of narrator. I felt like it took away from the story. it was not at all how I heard Eddie in mu head and it just screamed wrong while listening. the narrator did a fine job but the voice didn't fit. it was very distracting.

Most Unusual

First of all I loved the Dresden Files and though this is not in the same the genre is similar. The Druids that once looked after those who could not defend themselves have changed due an incident bright about by an unfortunate cosmic crossing of cosmic circumstance. This is the telling of their existence and role in a world millennia following and the role they have yet to play. All in all it is a rather entertaining and a light listen bordering to favour a younger audience. The story is so well written I feel it would be just as written if were written in a very ominous fashion.

A mixed bag

The book had a bit too much teenage boy ego, even though the MC was older than that. It was creative and decently, written, but Overly convenient and sometimes a bit all over the map.

The narrator made most women sound like walruses.
