A renowned rake, Cameron Mackenzie doesn't care if Ainsley Douglas has a virtuous excuse for sneaking around his bedchamber. He only cares that she's at his mercy. One kiss at a time, he plans to seduce her. But what starts out as a lusty diversion may break Cam's own rules.

This is such a wonderful series. Book three in this series was just as good as the first two. This is the story of Cameron and Ainsley. This book is a little suspenseful, sweet, tender, romantic, sexy, and even sad in some parts. I loved how the characters in the first two books appear in this book. Its like old friends that come to visit. if you liked the first two books you will like this one too!
Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I didn’t think there would be a Mackenzie brother I would love more than Ian, but Cameron sure did come close. He is such a rake but deep down you know there is something more to him than just carnal pleasures.
I enjoyed the love story between Cam and Ainsley and thought she was the perfect match for him. Add to that the side stories of Daniel, Hart and the rest of the Mackenzie clan and you have a perfect regency romance book.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
I'm not sure if others do this, but I tend to "cast" every book I read. Mostly with actors, however I have come across certain characters that remind me of people in my life. This book was (for a long time) my favorite I the series. As much as I adored the romance Iain and Beth shared, this book was always "the one". I've listened to this book so often I could not gather a guess at how many times.
I will apologize now for the horrible review I am typing.
Book 3 in the Highland Pleasures Series is a five-star read or listen. Jennifer Ashley has created such a wonderful family of characters. On to the next one...again. (Yep, the whole series is worthy of being heard or read many times over. )

First Thought when Finished: The Many Sins of Lord Cameron was delightfully wicked and emotionally gut-wrenching at the same time!
Overall Thoughts: I think it is clear by now that I am just plowing through this series. I am so in love with it! It is dark, sexy, and wonderfully written. Cameron though is my favorite brother (I can say that successfully now that I have read all 4 + the Christmas Novella). He is damaged, sexy, wicked, and does the biggest bastard to HEA turn in the series. I was rooting for him every step of the way and really only Ainsley could have brought him to his knees. He needed someone who could go toe-to-toe with him and not back down. He also needed someone who could work though his particular damage (it was extensive) and be patient with the quirks that brought to his personality. This also makes me wonder how his son (Daniel--first marriage) will turn out. I can't wait to read his book because he is dealing with some his father's baggage too. *sigh* This was just fantastic!
Narrated By Angela Dawe / Length: 9 hrs and 8 mins
Angela pulled of Cam and Ainsley with a precision that made me smile. I am really enjoying her narration of this series.
Final Thoughts: I don't know what I will do when I catch up! Probably try her shifter series LOL
The count said in careful English, "That was perhaps not, as you English say, very sporting."
"Games are played to win," Cameron said. "And we're Scottish.”
The Mackenzies are my favorite family behind the Malory's!!! Jennifer Ashley never disappoints and Angela Dawe gives the story great life with her voice tones and smooth reading!
Like all of Jennifer Ashley's historical romances, this story delivers on all fronts. It is a wide sweeping adventure, sensual romance, tinged with secrets, mystery, angst, and triumph. The narrator is superb. The four MacKenzie brothers are handsome and privileged Scottish lords who suffered from painful childhoods at the hands of a self-centered, cruel father. This story is about Lord Cameron MacKenzie, a gifted horseman, single father, and tantalizing womanizer who falls hard when he meets Ainsley. She captures his mind and heart, but runs from him because of her dark past. This is a well written and excellently performed story!
Never judge a book by its movie
Literally ( pardon the pun) #1!!
Cameron, has always been my favourite character, even since book one.
I love her voice, she's perfect.
This is a book, with real feeling. You can imagine yourself in this dysfunctional, but loving family. These 4 men take care of each other, as adults as they had as boys, due to the abusive house they grew up in.
This book is about Cameron, the 2nd oldest. who suffered abuse from his father and also his wife, who had tried to kill their baby son, before she killed herself, years earlier.
Cameron has meaningless affairs, because he believes he is not worthy of anything else, until he meets Ainsley.
Their story is beautiful and heart-warming.
This is one of the best series of books I have read. You will fall in love with these characters, and their families.
Don't miss out, you won't regret it.
I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again
I love JA's work and the whole Highland Pleasures series has been great so far and this book is no exception. If you've listened to the other 2 books in the series then you know what to expect but if you haven't then what are you waiting for - put them in your cart NOW 'cause you don't want to miss this series.!!
As the blurb in the Publisher's Summary says, it's Cameron's turn to find love but the road to it never runs smoothly (that's why we love them isn't it) Cameron is the scarred brother who loves horses, drink, his son Daniel and of course women. He meets Ainsley (now a widow) again after years have passed since their first brief encounter in his bedroom when she was stealing a necklace.
This time there's an instant attraction between them but again, Cameron catches her in his bedroom desperately looking for something. Coupled with the blossoming romance you get the updates from Ian and Beth and Isabella and Mac and, of course, Daniel who is growing up fast.
I could go on about great characters, good plot, sexy Scottish rake etc., etc., etc., but, if you've listened to books 1 & 2, then you know all that and you know what to expect - a thoroughly enjoyable way to pass 9 hours.
Looking forward to Hart's story next in The Duke's Perfect Wife.
Worth my credit? It's a definite Yes.
yes I would as I've so enjoyed every book in this series I've read so far and this one was no different
Ainsley was my favorite as she never gave up on Cam and worked so hard to do so much for him
While Ian and Beth will always be my favorite Mackenzies, I loved Cam and Ainsley's story. Reading this series In weird order I met them all in book 5 first so I knew they all were married. But I fell in love with this family so much I had to go back and start the series from the beginning. I love this series and adore both reading and listening to the audio version
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
Oh yes as the reader brought great life into all the characters.
I love Cam's story as it is not dark, but fun to watch all the heroines be as smart and witty as the author intended.
This is a great series that I am listening out of order. Ian's story is the best as author took modern day ideas and set them in a historical setting. All the brothers stories are good as you get intrigue, romance and humor, but don't think they are all on the same par as Ian's book or you maybe a bit disappointed. I love Hart as they don't get anymore masculine than his character.
I purchased this book and the rest of the series due to Ms Dawe as the reader. Her Scott's accent is so yummy. See Nora Robert's MacGregor series for more fun Scott's stories.
Yes, I did devote a day to listening to this book. This story is not as dark as the McBrides.
These are historical romances written for the modern woman who happens to love period writing. I have not listened to historical romances since the 90's classics and was deeply surprised how well this series was written. My all time favorite, Judith McNaught's Whitney My Love is a true classic.
This series was a wonderful introduction back into this period from a very good author. Try her paranormal series with the 4 brother's which includes "Tain's".
If you love strong, smart, witty humorous women, then this series is for you. The author sprinkles light humor i.e. in this book, the part of the "sheep" in the 2nd carriage conversation. If you are drifting a bit, you will miss it.
