When in trouble, seek a Highlander...

Even if you pushed him into a river 10 years ago...

When Evie McKnight slams into Jamie Mackenzie on a quay on Southampton, she flashes back to the day she accidentally knocked him into the river Cam. When she fished him out again, he shocked her with a searing, bold kiss before walking away in a dripping wet shirt and kilt.

Evie has no business reveling in memories of Jamie then and the nearness of him now - she is betrothed to a respectable man from a respectable and wealthy family. But Jamie appears everywhere in London, assisting Evie and her sisters, becoming friends with her fiancé, and agreeing to be drawn into the heist Evie has planned in order to save her best friend’s father from ruin.

The son and heir of Ian Mackenzie, Jamie has roamed the world encountering adventure after adventure, and now he’s back home to settle down as he promised his family. But Jamie is restless, searching for something he can’t seem to find, trying to live up to his potential as the son of a genius.

When he sees Evie again, he knows what he’s been striving for, and he is not going to let the trivial matter of her betrothal to a dull stick and the fact that she wants to break into the British Museum put him off. Jamie is Ian Mackenzie’s son, all right - he’ll use all the Mackenzie determination and adroitness to prove that she is for him, and he for her.

LOVE me some Mackenzies!

This family and series is such a fun escape for me x several years. I hope she continues writing all of the cousins’ stories and that she never stops having Angela Dawe read them. I’ll never tire of them. These and the Outlander series I can listen to over and over again!

this author is a genius when it comes to books. this whole series has kept me wanting more and more, and this fat in and I cant wait to get the next generation of books. the characters are dreamy, the conflict is juicy and the story lines are perfect. must read.

I love Ian and Beth's family!

I'm so glad the McKenzie saga continues! thank you Ms. Ashley! Jamie has inherited the best of his folks and Evie is a great match for him. Very much looking forward to the next book!

SO MUCH FUN!

I am an addict to romance novels and I especially like series. and I especially like series that you continue to read about and have a look into characters all along. you fall in love with them you watch them grow up you watch them fall in love you watch them do naughty bits and it's very lovely LOL. I said this before but I really appreciate how this author talks about autism in Ian McKenzie. the way she approaches it and deals with it is lovely. one of the best series I have had the pleasure of reading and rereading especially as the characters keep coming of age and have their stories told. you cannot go wrong reading this series.

MacKenzie clan stories have run their course

As big a fan as I am of the first 4 books in this series, the ones that follow have been disappointing and this one continues that trend. Overall, tedious.

Meh..

It took me forever to finish listening to this and I wondered several times why I bothered. The story was just alright. I read the first Ian and Beth book and thought it was better by leaps and bounds. I would pass on this one.
