New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands delivers another captivating historical romance set in the Highlands of Scotland!
Highlander Galen MacDonald is on a mission of revenge: kidnap his enemy's bride and make her his. But what he doesn't count on is a clever, fiery lass wielding a blade. When he realizes Kyla is delirious with fever, Galen wastes no time in wedding her.
While Kyla is grateful for the Scottish laird who saved her from marrying a loathsome man, she is just as furious that Galen has claimed her for his bride. But when they share an unforgettable night of passion, will it lead to a marriage of the heart, or will an enemy tear them apart?

I love books! Audiobooks take stories to the next level. I'm obsessed with Audible and will try to rate all of my books. Happy Listening! ;)
I really like this narrator. Her Scottish accent is perfect (I'm pretty sure she must be from Scotland). She does very distinct voices for all the characters and enhances the story with emotion and intensity.
The story is good. There is a bit more violence that I would like but the romance is hot... And sweet and it has a few twists and turns I wasn't expecting. The ending was very nice too.
Well read, Elle Newland had a beautiful accent that made me feel like I was actually in the story and as always Lynsay Sands smashed it with a great plot line and lots of laughs
I've had this book for years and read, and reread it quite often. My eyesight has caused problems with reading for any length of time so I am grateful it is now in audio.
If you like a great Scottish historical with humor & suspense you can't miss Ms. Sands books.
loved it! I got caught up in it and didn't know how to stop! if you love romance novels then you should also try reading a high lander takes a bride, to marrie a Scottish Laird, and an English bride in Scotland they are all by lynsay sands
The storyline was just OK. But both leading characters were difficult to believe. The female lead continued to do stupid things endangering herself and others. The male lead constantly warns then forgives her stupid. Hard to believe neither one of them ever learned from their mistakes. Romantic scenes were a joke they were so unbelievable . The ONLY redeemable part of the book was the narration by Elle Newland. She delivered an excellent Scottish brogue. I would not waste a credit on this book.
Great book and excellent narrator. I tend to like books like the Outlander and this was right up that alley.
Outlander series. Scottish warriors.
Long awaited ... and it's a winer.
I loved this audiobook. The harph scene had me rolling in stiches! Well done Ms Newland excellent narrating!!
