In this novel from #1 New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts, diamonds can be a girl's best friend...or her worst enemy.
Someone had set them both up. Now, handcuffed together, bounty hunter Jack Dakota and bail jumper M. J. O'Leary were on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M. J. wasn't talking--not even when Jack found a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything told Jack the sexy skip he'd been hired to recover couldn't be trusted...everything, that is, but his heart.

"Disappointed, don't waste your money. Horrible narration, same story as previous book just different characters. Boring."
The narrator was horrible, and the story was pretty much the same as the first book with the blue diamond just different characters.
Poorly written and surprised this is a Nora Roberts book.
Don't waste your money.
Anxious to know what happened next, I wasn't disappointed. Another great set of chapters in putting the complete puzzle together! On to the next!
This trilogy is not Ms. Roberts' best effort by far. The characters in each story, each meet and fall head over heels in love in 2.5 minutes and the plot is weak at best.
The best I can say is. If you read Ms Roberts for her steamy sex scenes, these books waste no time in getting there.
Personally, I enjoy her writing for way more than that , and this trilogy doesn't display her normally excellent talents for character development or interesting storytelling.
So, 5 of the 6 villains (that we know of) are dead... can't wait for the next book in the series! In this book, there is more hints about the magical properties of the stones. This story was fast moving probably because of the length of the story. Narrator was good, hoping he keeps his voices separated from each other when the familiar characters show up again.
