Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents the first novel in a compelling trilogy about three brothers bound by fate, blood, and a timeless enemy.

In the town of Hawkins Hollow, it’s called The Seven. Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, strange things happen. It began when three young boys - Caleb, Fox, and Gage - went on a camping trip to The Pagan Stone...

It is only February, but Caleb Hawkins - descendant of the town founders - has already seen and felt the stirrings of evil. Though he can never forget the beginning of the terror in the woods twenty-one years ago, the signs have never been this strong before. Cal will need the help of his best friends Fox and Gage, but surprisingly he must rely on a stranger as well.

Reporter Quinn Black came to Hawkins Hollow hoping to make its eerie happenings the subject of her new book. She too can see the evil the locals cannot, somehow connecting her to the town - and to Cal. As winter turns to spring, they will shed their inhibitions, surrendering to a desire that will grow and form the cornerstone of a group of men and women bound by the fight against what is to come from out of the darkness…

Fun Read

If you could sum up Blood Brothers in three words, what would they be?

Surprise twist to mystery/fantasy/romance

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood Brothers?

When the two main characters went to the stone

Which character – as performed by Phil Gigante – was your favorite?

main male character

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the saving of the dog

Any additional comments?

I loved the narrative bouncing around the three different (male) characters giving three different points of view. It was also fun to have a male as a main character

FANTASTICALLY DONE

I THOUGHT THE NARRATOR DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, ESPECIALLY BEING MALE AND PERFORMING FEMALE VOICES. HE DIDN'T OVER DO IT ON THE FEMALE VOICES AND DIDN'T MAKE THEM SOUND WIMPY. I DO WISH HE WOULD'VE DONE THE SECOND BOOK AS WELL BECAUSE IT'S PERFORMED BY A FEMALE. I DON'T THINK THE NARRATOR HAS TO BE THE SAME FOR THE TRILOGY; HOWEVER, I THINK IF THE MAIN CHARACTER ARE MALE, THEN THE NARRATOR SHOULD BE MALE AS WELL. WHILE THERE ARE FEMALE COUNTERPARTS AS MS. ROBERTS ALWAYS DOES, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE MALE.

Love this series

These books are fantastic. The performer does a decent job, the women’s voices are a little iffy. Definitely listenable and enjoyable though!

Home Town Story of Good vs Evil

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story has love, good and evil. This is my first Nora Roberts book. It is entertaining without a lot of blood, guts or violence so it is rare. I enjoy the small town atmosphere where everyone knows everyone else. The book is consistently entertaining but it is not riveting either. This is book one which is read by a mans man which I found sultry. Book 2 was read well by a women but threw me off track because I was expecting Mr. Sexy.

Story about a small town, three boys with same birth date

Started off slow, built up story lines about three men with same birthdate who meet up with three women who come to a small town who are interested in what happens there every seven years on the same date
