Publisher's summary

The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever - even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, listeners can experience the rush of hearing Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Everything I expected and more.

This has been one of my favorite book series from Jamie ever since I read beautiful disaster and I am so happy that the Maddox brothers got their own stories. Their sense of family and unity is what keeps them grounded and it's described beautifully in this book. The narrator's voice was definitely key to the characters personality it's was quite hilarious. Trenton's nick name "Chamomile " was really cute. This book was amazing.

Good Listen

Loved the story but got annoyed with Camille because of her stubbornness. Other than that, very good storyline - kinda saw the ending coming though. Didn't regret this purchase.

This was so good...loved the fact that we get a book per Maddox brother! Instant download!

This was Trenton story ... The brother we got to know so well fom beautiful disaster... I love how McGuire had Travis and Abby's story going on at the same time...in the background... Extremely well written!

But.... the ending... now that was the OMG moment... when we finally learn about T.J. I was like Omg, OMG!!!!

Narration was good..story was awesome, so worth a credit, buy, and sale!

Mind=BLOWN

Mind = BLOWN! LOVE LOVE LOVE Trent. Travis still has my heart but Trent is so incredibly loveable. I loved everything about this book! Jamie McGuire has done it again! Captured my heart, twisted my brain & made it so I'll be in a book hangover for months! I'm going to have to reread it to wrap my brain around it all. SO GOOD!

Loved it!

Would you consider the audio edition of Beautiful Oblivion to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the audio. I was disappointed at first that Dan Bittmer wasn't doing the audio. He was amazing in Walking Disaster as Travis but thought Phoebe did a great job.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Oblivion?

Without spoiling the storyline, there was a twist at the end that I totally did not expect.

What does Phoebe Strole bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She did a great job with both the male and female characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I only listen to audios in the car and exercising but couldn't wait to get back to it.

Any additional comments?

Loved the character of Trent. He was both sweet and strong and not as cocky as Travis.
