Publisher's summary

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They're both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends - I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd - but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I'd make my coworker fall for me.

I'd like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie's trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won't leave her alone. But I've never been good at giving up, and I don't plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Contains mature themes.

Cute Story

This book was so funny and lighthearted; refreshing to listen to the innocent development of a relationship. Tor and Mia knocked the narration out of the park; make a great team. Enjoyed the characters.

idk about this one Megan.

I am writing this before I get to the end, but I have about 30 minutes left, so that I don't spoil it... But I really hope this isn't a HEA! Sadie doesn't deserve it with this guy. I hate her. She needs to get it together before going after anyone. why do these men like her? Really holding out hope that this embodies a literary fiction ending.

also the male narrator is bad.

Hilarious

Another great book from Meghan. I laughed (and then blushed). Bravo, Meghan, Mia, and Tor!

Male narrator hard to listen to

Great story. I love Megan's realistic writing pulling in the love, the hard and gritty, with a good amount of humor. Just like like really is. Sadly the male narrator, Tor Tom, was very difficult to listen to in this book. Flat monotone, but like he's trying too hard for a (very lacking) sexy bedroom voice. I stopped listening to it because of this, but forced myself to start back up because of the story itself. Needed more depth to the voice. Overall though, great book in an excellent series.

Cute college romance

This book is a great read. It’s light and heavy all at the same time with both quirky and complex characters. Sadie was dealt some bad hands in life, and I could completely sympathize with her. But I’m glad she finally got some advise from her friends and father.
Andrew and Smilly are wonderful characters! Both made me laugh repeatedly. But I honestly don’t know that I’ve ever met a “unicorn” like Andrew. Do guys like that really exist??
This is the first time I’ve ever heard Mia Madison. She was wonderful! You could really feel Sadie’s emotions come through. I love Tor Thom. He has such a sexy deep voice. But I just had a hard time reconciling that voice with the sexy nerd that Andrew was supposed to be. I had to speed up the audio to even make it work. Maybe not the best choice for a young quirky kid.

not my thing

entire book filled with pubescent boy humor, there are a couple actually cute parts that's why it's a 2 instead of a 1. the FMC is TERRIBLE, self-absorbed, whiny straight up mean much of the time. this is so going to the archive never to be heard again

Could not make it through the first 5 chapters

The combo of bad storyline + bad audio actors literally made me cringe a couple times. Tried 3 different times to give it a chance and every time I thought “meh - it’s not THAT bad” another horribly cringe moment happened (e.g. main dude character has talked to main girl character a total of 1 time and tells his brother “I’m going to be the one to make her learn to smile again” - no idea what the plot is either at this point. I’ve read most of Meghan Quinn’s books. Try something else 😬

very slow starter. NOT recommended

The description made the book sound interesting. by chapter 11 you would think you would know where the direction of the book was taking you but you don't. The narrators did a wonderful job with the part of the book I was able to survive through.
