Publisher's summary

Nothing is fair in love.

This is my kingdom. My territory. I own everything and control everyone, Aurora included. She shouldn’t have barged into my world with no armor. She shouldn’t have caught my attention with no warning. Alas, she did. Then she thought she could disappear. If a battle is what it’ll take to protect and own her, I’ll shed blood. Wars aren’t fair, and neither am I.

Rise of a Queen is the second part of a duet and is not stand-alone.

Great duet

I laughed, gasped and cried at the awesomeness of this duet. I couldn’t stop listening and finished in 2 1/2 days. This is my first time listening to Rina Kent’s books and now I’m hooked.

Rise of a Queen

Dear Rina thank you for the dual narration unfortunately you picked the wrong female voice, in my humble opinion the wrong voices reading your words can make or break your storyline. I really wanted to like book 2 sadly I felt somewhat let down.
I really wanted to like your book(s) it just never materialized for me I hate to be negative but you should know, it won’t stop me from trying more of your books in hopes of a winner.

Daddy King is my favorite!!!

Jonathon king is simply the best. I’ve enjoyed every one of Rina Kent’s books but he’ll always be my favorite.

AWESOME BOOK

No one will ever guess who the bad guys are... it's not what you think. The series had me on the hook and I couldn't put the audiobook down. GREAT JOB RINA AND THE NARRATORS WERE OUTSTANDING!

Jonathan Effing King!

Jonathan and Aurora are getting closer...but to what. Every time it seems Jonathan is easing his tyrannical behavior, something happens and he ratchets it back up. But Aurora is definitely having an effect on him, even his family is seeing his reactions to her being in his home.

When events put Aurora in danger, it's that very tyrant she will need to help her. Jonathan doesn't lose, and he's not about to lose Aurora...whatever the cost. This was full of suspense, quite a bit of insanity, lots of heat. And Stern Daddy Jonathan had me swooning pretty much this entire series.

Shane East and Keira Stevens are so amazing, and their narration brings everything to life so perfectly. Shane seems to have a bottomless treasure of acting skills, and I believe this is the first time I've heard this particular voice from Shane. But it was perfect Jonathan King. This is a duet I'll definitely be listening to multiple times. A testament to Rina Kent's writing, and her selection of brilliant narrators to tell her story.

Unforgettable Couple.

Rise of a Queen by Rina Kent

I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 5.

Formats Read: Audiobook & Ebook
Review Updated (Dec. 27, 2020) at Bottom ☺️

No Spoilers.
HEA(?): Yes
Relationship Type: MF
Romance: 4-4.5/5
Heat: 4.5/5, there’s quite a bit! 😍
Drama: 4.5/5
Suspense: 4-4.5/5
Dark(?): Not to me No, but I’ll list it at least 1.5-2/5
Pacing: It does feel a bit more fast paced than I was expecting actually.

Predictability: 3-3.5/5, I had a inkling on some things, but then of course majority of the things I ‘predicted’ didn’t pan out Lol 😆

But I do feel like some things weren’t completely answered/explained or might’ve been forgotten, but it didn’t really take away from the story.
I was hoping for the memory bits or more memory bits from Johnathan like he had in the Prequel ‘Rule of a Kingdom’.

This is a decent finish to Aurora & Johnathan story, it kept my attention and this is definitely reread worthy for me ☺️
I can’t wait for their bonus epilogue that will be in the ‘Royal Elite Epilogue’ that’s coming soon too!

I am very much looking forward to reading ‘Throne of Power’!!

I also really hope Layla get her book at some point(!!), hopefully with the person or maybe person(s)🤤 I crave her to be with! 😆

Not Rise of a Queen but Rise of Sanity

Book ✌🏽

Aurora runs and is dragged back loving every second of it and that is pretty much the whole book. Lots of hot sex and take charge men. I'm hoping Ethan gets a book or Layla

This book should have been called Rise of Sanity. There wasn't anything regal about her but I do feel like she got her marbles back in this book.
She didn't make the best decisions. All of my questions were answered from book one. I love spoilers but I don't post them so you'll have to read it.😏
One more thing, the reveal of "who did it" didn't make sense. The timeline was off. No one knew about him until she turned her dad in and he went to jail.
That didn't happen until after sister died.
