Excellent again!
Roseanna White has once again woven an excellent story, full of deep journeys, history, romance, and faith! And Susan Lyons is a masterful narrator! I’ve loved each of the books I’ve listened to my this author. I love seeing the characters that I’ve gotten to know appear again, from one book to the next.

Her best yet!!!
I didn’t think I would enjoy this book as much as the previous Codebreaker book but it surpassed it. Full of drama, espionage, intrigue & romance. I love how Ms. White gives us a glimpse into history as well. I was not a good history student ( presented in a dry & boring fashion when I was in school) and her books have caused me to do research now into these periods of history that I know little about.
Thank you Ms. White, keep them coming.

Fantastic!
I am loving this series! Roseanna M. White has quickly become a favorite author, and I love how she makes her characters and history come alive! This series and the previous series, Shadows Over England, will be definite re-listens for me. And can we talk about the narrator, Susan Lyons? Wow! She makes listening a pure joy! I'd give this book, and the series, ten stars if I could!
(P.S. Phillip and Arabelle might be my favorite characters so far! But don't tell the others.)

Wonderful WWI Romance!
First, I loved Arabelle and Phillip!
I love the way Roseanna M. White writes history. It feels like a real-life story and I'm right there with the characters.
Phillip Camden is a complex man. Arabelle Denler is an intelligent, caring, generous woman. I loved how well they fit together.
Susan Lyons does a wonderful narration. I loved every moment of listening to this book!

Absolutely perfect
This is the first book I’ve read by Roseanna M. White and what a delight it was! Set during WW1 England it has intrigue, suspense, and romance all tied up in a well researched historical setting. The writing is beautiful, the pace perfect. The characters believable and likeable. The narrator does an amazing job. I would change nothing.

Love Rosanna!
Wonderful story! I feel as readers many of us enjoy a twists in a story yet we also have characters we're routing for and outcomes we hope for for them. I've read stories where the twists cause a deflation and disappoinment of the outcome and others where the hoped for resolution happens too easily and predictably. But Rosanna M. White always has a way of giving both unpredictable twists AND an ending that allows you to close the book with a feeling of resolution and hope. Love ALL of her books!
