Publisher's summary

If you knew love could kill you, would you still fall?

The moment Brando Piero Fausti appeared in the snow-filled night, he made the blood hum in my veins. With a body worthy of a statue in Italy, he tethered my life to his with an irrevocable bond. He was the most dangerous man I had ever felt. A savage beast lurked just beneath his surface, ready to battle for what he loved the most—me.

Little did I know that he would lure me into a gilded cage with his beautiful words and searing touch. Little did he know, I’d always fight to follow the true alignment of my stars.

Man of Honor is the beginning of an eight-part Royal Organized Crime Romance saga.

Previously released as The Beautiful Years I.

Very sweet slow burn mafia romance

This book was a wonderful surprise that just managed to wet my appetite for more of Brando and Scarlett’s star-crossed lovers story. Bella di Corte’s writing is elegant, very touching and the characters are both very endearing. Brando is sexy, dangerous, mysterious and wholly dedicated to Scarlett who is so sweet, talented and sad. They have a Romeo and Juliet air about them and yet I know from the Fausti background story that mafia danger is just around the corner in the next books in the series. This love story is not rushed, I like that Bella took her time setting the stage for whats to come by dedicating this entire book to Scarlett and Brando’s relationship. The narration was superb. No one does a more authentic Italian character and voice like Antonio Amato. Verla Bond was new to me but she captured my heart immediately. When she sounded happy I was happy and when she made Scarlett sound sad I wanted to cry. Wonderful and exciting and im just cant wait for the next book. Bravo 👏🏻

Captivated from the beginning

Antonio captivated me from his first words spoken. And Verla’s melodious voice was music to my ears. He was all Brando and she definitely performed Scarlett beautifully. This is book 1 in the Fausti family series and it was beautifully written and narrated. It was slower than I expected but I understood as the story unfolded. It is a book that leaves you hanging and wanting more.

Brando & Scarlett! The beginning!

What a start to this 8 book series! I am hooked already! Mafia, best friend's sister, destiny, romance, Bella DiCorte gives it all to us in this first book. Brando Fausti is Elliott's best friend. He always knew his sister Scarlett, but never paid much attention to her. Until a night when she had left her ballet rehearsal. That snowy night would change both their lives forever. But it never veered Brando's attention away from the prima ballerina. This story is packed with a push pull between Brando and Scarlett as well as us getting to know a little background of both families. It's chock full of tragedy, angst, slow burn romance and a few twists and turns we just don't see coming. Ending with our couple apart, but with Brando always watching, we are set up for our next installment. I cannot wait to hear what will happen next with these two!

Verla Bond and Antonio Amato are our storytellers, and these two are perfectly cast for these characters. Bond gives us Scarlett, the naïve teen and lets us grow several years with her. We can hear her changes as she matures, bringing out her frustrations and emotions. Brando has a lot to him, and Amato pulls out not only the stoic, strong man, but the mushy emotional man too. He keeps Brando at arm's length with his voice, and I can't wait to hear Scarlett melt his heart. These two compliment each other and made the listen very enjoyable.

Meh..its okay

Meh! Its a soft ending and there are two more books about this couple trying to get together. This one is Mostly told in their younger days. Honestly there is some drama but mostly its just them and their friends. I was expecting more. I did listen to this on audio and the narration well done.

Mafia romance

A little ballerina dancer can have so much power over one man? Hm. I wasn't to surea bout this audiobook and I'm glad I took a chance on it. I sort had to be in the mood to listen to this, it's ok. I think I'm running into a block wall and I sort of downt want to listen to romance books for a while. LOL omg why am I admitting this now and why am I writting this. I found the story so so and the voice actors all right. so...I think I need to re-listen to this when I am in a better head space no?

intense love

Brando was so entranced with the ballerina he decided to stay and talk with her instead of going to a party with his best friend. that evening, Scarlett saved his life, but lost her brother
They bonded by grief, The story revolves around Scarlett and Brando's love for each other.. They vowed always to each other. He was her everything, .
Their bond is forever, consuming their lives. but he had to let her go.
This is romantic, brutally honest, emotional.
Very well written, exploring Scarlett and Brandos thoughts throughout this story,
Antonio Amato  and Verla Bond narration is very good, giving all the emotions , voices, intensity and personalities of the characters in this story. i was gifted this audio and offered my honest review

What a Roller Coaster

This book was good but woo it had my head spinning. I do love all types of books so of coarse I got hooked. Watching the pain of Brando and Scarlett and the love that seems to always be in the way of something life throws at them. The tragedy that sits in their life’s with Scarlett brother is also a weight they both bare. If you love Mafia books, books with a twist, romance that comes and goes you will love this story. I can’t wait for book 2 to come out so I can see what Brando does and how long he has on this deal he made to bust loose. The author is new to me but love the writing so far💕. Antonio and Verla both keep you hooked as emotions run wild in this book. You can really feel the pain and love everyone has on this book.

Love this series

Listening to a book should always be an experience and this audiobook made me love Scarlett & Brando more.

Brandi's voice was off putting at first but once that settled it was beautifully done.

it was ok

I felt the story was too wordy. I understood the deep emotional bond between Scarlett and Brando the author needed to convey to the reader, but the length of book was too long. It bothered me the ending was a cliffhanger to their story after listening for over 13 hours. The only reason I continued to the end was the talents of the narrators who kept my interest and the hope that there would be a HEA. I was very disappointed.
