This was intense and erotic and beautiful and made me smile with Rosie cheeks multiple times, I loved it.

Excellent Storyline

I love the the portrayal of the characters. The spoken Italian made it a little difficult to follow the story at times but keep readers linked to the setting of the story.

Spicy Dark Billionaire Romance

I’m newer to Zoe Blake’s books but one common theme is that this author knows how to write an alpha! Don Cavalieri “Barone” is the powerful patriarch of the Cavalieri family, His family legacy is the Cavalieri winery but he also has millions of acres of land and businesses across Italy.

Amara Beneventi is working as a servant for a Cavalieri wedding when she has an encounter with the infamous Barone. Once Don sets his sights on Amara, he becomes obsessed and wants to cage her like an injured bird. But Amara has lived a rough life and what Don is offering (*cough* forcing) her to do is not what the real world has taught her. Amara doesn’t want to be caged up and shop all day. She wants to work, have her independence, and prove her worth.
Amaro and Don have banter throughout the entire book. She’s a rebellious heroine and fights him at every turn. Don’s not having it though and is going to show Amara her place.
If you’re looking for a spicy dark romance with mafia vibes, this is a must read. The spicy scenes are HOT!!!
I can’t wait to devour the rest of this series. Zoe Blake is fast becoming a one-click author for me.

Bravo to Antonio and Charlotte on a fabulous narrating job. Loved the accents and the performance both gave.
Charlotte does the sexiest interpretation of Barone. Her male voice is yummy!! I’m scouring audible for more books shes narrated. Loved her voice so much!!! It’s hard to find a female narrator that does hot male voices and she nails it!!!

I read this book first and found it rich with tradition, a hot sexy bossy man, and the women strong enough to challenge him. Now, after listening to the voice actors, the story took on new heightened fullness. "Eccellente"
