Publisher's summary

They call him Kradak, but his friends call him Steve.

He's big and strong, an actor who plays a hero named Kradak in a series of B-movies. When Rista and Grint come through the portal from Arkana, they don't understand what a movie is. They think Steve truly is Kradak the Champion.

They kidnap him and take him back to Arkana to help them save their world. Once they discover the truth, it is too late. The portal is closed. Steve needs to become a hero. The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance.

Rista of the Blade is a strong woman whose beauty is only surpassed by her skill in battle. Grint is a shape-shifting goblin with a tendency toward being sarcastic. Do they make the perfect team? Or will the bickering be their undoing?

Kradak the Champion is the first book in the Arkana sword and sorcery adventure trilogy.

Inmon Groupie

I am loving this author from the quirky, amusing Kradak to the very real characters in the Middle Falls Time Travels. Amazingly well done & I’ve loved listening.

Awesome Story

I didn't know how this author could have created a better read than the Alex Hawk book series but he did with the two Kradak books which I hope more come out or more in the Alex Hawk series. Also the person who performs the read if you chose to listen in Audible is by far the best narrator the could have found to perform the read! I would give the author and narrator 10 stars if I could!!!

Another winner by Shawn Inmon!!!

A different direction than his time traveling books, but just as masterfully written.
I could read anything he writes forever!!!

Hugely disappointing

I cannot even talk about the story of this book because the narration is so distracting I cannot not get into it nor through it. The narrator, Wayne Michell, is too dramatic and in my opinion does a huge disservice to Inmon’s writing. Feels to me like he is attempting to draw undue attention to the characters as if Inmon’s writing is unable to stand on its own merits. His narration does not guide the listener in a such a way that we are engaged and transported into the story, the way the Shawn Inmon novels I have previously listened to have done. His over dramatic rendering is so juvenile that I thought I was listening to a cartoon. I had to check to see if this was indeed a Shawn Inmon novel. I have listened to Inmon’s Alex Hawk series , Middle Falls Time Travel series and The Chronicles of Astor series in their entirety and loved each and every book. His talent for storytelling, and range of differences of stories with similar plots is truly a testament to his talent and imagination. The way his characters rouse such feelings and emotion that I feel like they are my fictional friends, or occasionally, my fictional foes. I cry and rejoice with them and am even glad of certain characters’ defeat or demise. And I am sad when it’s time to bid them all farewell. I was very much looking forward to commencing another Shawn Inmon series. I understand this is a different “genre” and is perhaps not my cup of tea. However the narration is so off putting that I cannot continue to make that distinction for myself. As much as I wanted to experience the complexities of another Inmon plot and discover and get to know these new characters I cannot continue. Walter Mitchell’s ever so sluggish, slurred, annoying, and literally shouting portrayal of characters has rendered this novel impossible to listen to. This narrator is on my “never again” list.

The narrator Wayne Mitchell is full of himself

I have no idea if the book is any good or not because I couldn’t stand the narrator. He made it impossible to listen to.

Not as good as I had hoped

Thoroughly enjoyed Inmon’s Middle Falls series and had high hopes for this. Predictable storyline, unlikable and unbelievable characters combined with a narrator who had to try a bit too hard to overcome that… well, it was hard to finish Kradak. Not interested in volume two.
