Publisher's summary

The past haunts him. Now he must face it.

When postal worker Martin Briar is invited to partake in a secret time travel opportunity, he jumps at the chance to leave his dull life and step into the past. But he also has his own motivation for going back in time: the disappearance of his 12-year-old daughter two decades ago.

Traveling to Denver in 1996 to investigate, he finds the world brimming with a different vibe: fewer skyscrapers, laid back people, a return to the life he once knew - a city on the verge of explosive growth. At first, Martin welcomes the trip down memory lane, but when he falls in love with a woman he met in the past, he must choose whether to continue the pursuit of his long-lost daughter, or finally let her go and start a brand new life.

If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers and time travel, then you’ll love this high-octane series from international best-selling author Andre Gonzalez!

Too Dark

I love time travel books. They are my "go to" many times when browsing. I wanted to really like this series as the boxset is 25 hours and I drive many hours on the road. This series left me too worried and anxious about what was going to happen to the main character, and depressing because sad things kept happening. I don't always have to have "happily ever after" books, but this one left me totally down in the dumps after the first book was over. I started the second book and decided I had to return the title and get another more uplifting book to read. The narrator wasn't bad like others stated, I just didn't like the dark content and the story never seemed to make me feel happy or satisfied about anything.

It's like they forgot they could travel in time.

So many plot holes. It's a time travel story that seems to think time travel is the most unimportant part of the story.
The main character is a Momma's boy middle aged alcoholic, (in denial) that everyone seems to think is the hero though he does nothing heroic. I got through the 3 book box set but I'm pretty sure I wont be doing book 4.
Narration was decent.

Ok book, but rotten production quality

I liked the concept, author is a good storyteller. Narrator also good... but, the production was terrible. It sounded as if narrator had gone through the book and corrected mistakes or passages the weren't happy with. I'm sure that's normal with a book, the problem was that the sound in these corrected or bettered passages was tinny and of a much lower quality than the rest of the book. It didn't ruin the book, but the otherwise good narrator's performance was marred by these technical issues.

Time travel series

I really liked this story line and recommend all 6 books. The author commented that if you like Stephen King you will enjoy these books and he is surely right about that. The narrator does a superb job as well

Loved it!

I love time travel stories and I can't wait until I get the next credit to continue listening. The narrator is great and reminds me of Stephen King audible books which I have listened to almost all of them.

Great series!

I wasn’t sure how this series would go based on reviews, but I decided to give it a try. I’m sure glad I did. The descriptions of the past made me feel like I was really there, especially back in the 1990’s. The characters were well thought out and I became invested in them almost immediately. If you like time travel stories, give this one a shot.

Topical Sci Fi…Who Knew?

Great story with a fantastic current twist. You really don’t see all this coming. I hope there are more

kept my interest

Overall, it is a decent series, but a little neive regarding political causations. One point in book one was that the future dictator government was death on anyone speaking against the Second Amendment. I'd challenge anyone to show me a government of tyranny that wants the public to be armed.

Meh

I got through the 3 books. I don’t think I’ll get the next set. This is one series that I’m glad was free on kindle unlimited.

There’s no joy in this series. Yes, I know it’s dystopian, but usually there’s at least a little life. Not here. Everything is flat and depressing - including the narrator’s voice. I really don’t want to spend any more time in this world, or with these characters. I don’t like any of them.

Oh, and the plot twists that seem to be intended as surprises are quite predictable. That’s one thing that turned me off to Stephen King … so I guess it may be true that if you like his work, you might like this. (I struggled through half of “Under the Dome” at the urging of a friend, and quit because I decided I really didn’t care about any of those stupid characters.)

I’m off to find something better …
