A fun how to play book

As a D&D player since the early days of 1976. I will say that I got reminded about the early years of D&D, and learned more about the current version. I highly recommend the book.

A good start

This is not meant to explain everything to do with D&D, rather it's meant to help you feel comfortable joining a D&D campaign for the first time. it does a good job at this!

the narrator almost ruins it

the book is fine, but the narrator sounds like a preschool teacher. almost unbearable

A good primer

I haven’t played Dungeons & Dragons in 20 years, and this book was an effective summary of everything I’ve missed. I thought yet another book about the game would just complicate matters, but this is a good guide to what you need to buy and what you need to know. I got a little lost in some of the chapters dealing with arithmetic and calculations, which I don’t think translate well to audio, but I’m sure I can pick that up at the table. I enjoyed the narration and would certainly listen to another book by this voiceover artist.

Excellent Explanation

Obviously that trolls know it all still exist in the geek community and for them the narrator sounds like kindergarten teacher but don’t mind them though, However for those that are starting this is an excellent starter to know step by step D&D concept and basic skills. Excellent work and cool narration!
