Reads like a textbook

Definitely definitely need to listen to these diaries multiple times to gather every line of information. Quite hard to listen to, the content reads more like a textbook than a novel of any sort. Not a bad thing if your goal is to learn and absorb new information on Jiu Jitsu.

Dense with information.

So much excellent information about Jiu Jitsu that you will have to listen to it over and over to try to absorb it all. John Danaher is a genius and knows how to break down the most important parts of the Jiu Jitsu game.

Required Reading for Nerds

This is great! If you’re a cerebral jiu jitsu player, JDs thoughts & musings are thought provoking and arresting. I listen to all 3 volumes every couple months & always get something new or different from each listen. If you’re not a cerebral bjj player than I dunno what to tell you🤷🏻‍♂️🤓

Heroes of thee Art have done it again!

If you love Jiu Jitsu and or the teachings of Danaher then this is a MUST HAVE. Whether trying to get through the book straight through or playing a little at a time before trying or during work breaks like myself, it gives you plenty to ponder and trust me when I tell you, it’ll pop up during training. I use it as a daily meditation book dealing with the Art I’m so passionate about. Get this one as well as the other two volumes if you don’t already own them. See you on the mats!

Great book for the enthusiast

Certainly worth the monthly audible credit. Narrator even has an accent similar to Johns, so it is fitting as if you are listening directly to Mr. Danaher himself. Make sure to take notes as you listen. Definitely worth listening to twice!

Amazing as always by the Genius!

I always learn so much from his wisdom AND guidance. He has a great way of breaking down difficult things and just simplifying things for me to be able to process and benefit my BJJ game.
