The world of finance meets a Prada wearing shark

This combined effort had laughs, loves, and lots of sexual chemistry. From their initial meeting in the bar the reader is given an entertaining romp narrated wonderfully by Stephanie Murphy.

Hooked me with the heat… lost me with the plot

That first sex scene was steamy and totally what I was hoping to see more of…. But it didn’t happen till nearly the end of the books so overall it was an okay story just really wasn’t what I was looking for right now.

Good story idea but lacking. I found myself bored through most of the story. These authors have several really good works, so this was a bit disappointing. Narrator was bland with little character voice difference or enthusiasm. Like reading off a to do list most of the time. Maybe author direction would have helped… ?

Incredible book

I absolutely loved this book. The store line was very different and well developed. These authors blended their contributions seamlessly. The narrator was one I didn't know but she was excellent.

McLeod and Markinson make a dynamic duo in WLW romance fiction! This books has everything you want in a story, humor, romance, sentimentality, scandal and a little bit of hanky panky to boot! Well done!

Stephanie Murphy was a perfect fit to narrate this one!

Both authors are superb on their own, so it’s no surprise this was such a delightful book.


And Stephanie Murphy’s narration is just wonderful.

Fascinating story

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The characters were so interesting and well developed that they seemed alive and the drama made it highly entertaining. Laurie the hatchet was applied descibe in the beginning and seeing her develop into a lovely woman was enchanting. Jack much younger had higher expectations from the hatchet and was kept in constant turmoil, which actually happens in real life at times. The love scene’s were hot and I liked that they did not take up the whole story. The desires from both women’s point was fascinating to hear and the ending was everything I have come to expect from this talented author.

Awesome story, slightly disappointing narration

I loved the story. I read the book before listening to the audiobook. Usually, when I do that (read a book before listening to the audiobook) the audiobook makes me like the story even more (as you can guess, I listen to an audiobook of a book I already read only if I really liked the book). However, in this case, that didn't happen. I can't say that the narration was bad, but there was something that just didn't feel right. It's not a bad narration, but in this case I feel that the story is so good it deserved a better narration.

Regarding the story, I loved everything about it. I specially liked the fact that the conflicts were not contrived. I'm always wary of conflicts due to miscommunication, but in this case I can see it totally happening. And I loved the ending, but to avoid spoilers I won't say anything more.

This was a hot ice-queen, workplace, age-gap romance. Some of my favorite tropes. Great story with a great narrator.

All around great book. Wonderful characters. Love the way main 2 women fall in love.
