My great rescue
This book is definitely an eye-opener for me. I am indeed guilty of sugar addiction. After listening to this book, I decided to do the detox. This book has the motivation that I need. I am so scared of my sugar consumption. Too much sugar doesn't just cause diabetes but also heart disease, obesity, cardiovascular disease, yeast infection, difficulty concentrating, and stroke. It could also contribute to depression, when taken too much. It has so much negative effects on our body. If the liver is full of glycogen, and you’re still taking in too much sugar, it would result to fatty liver. It may lead to liver failure and liver cancer. I'm so glad I purchased this book. Now I know how to prepare for the detox, what to do while on detox, and what to do after the detox. It has Delicious recipes that I can try while on and after my detox. Really worth the purchase.
I received this audio at a discount for my honest opinion and I am so glad I bought it. This audio book has excellent information on how to kick the sugar habit and detox your body from sugar. If someone really want to get into sugar free diet then I would thoroughly listening to this audio. This audio publication not only guide you in your way to take the sugar out but also give you amazing recipes that will help in the process and also will provide you a meal plan in order to get more results. Kicking the sugar habit is not easy but this book will help you.
Straight, no non-sense tips, recipes and information for beating a sugar addiction. So many foods are packed with sugar, it's tough to eliminate much of it on your own.
This great little book has a wealth of information and tips and I enjoyed every minute. The recipes are practical and they sound absolutely tasty. Valerie Childs gave this book proper attention and Stacy Wilson offers an awesome narration job.
I've always had a hard time keeping my weight in a steady place and even I spent hours at the gym, my weight was always the same. A friend of mine recommended this sugar detox so I decided to buy a book and inform my self online, before I start with it. I can say that it takes a great integrity to follow through this diet. It was very difficult at first, I was literally in tears on the 5th day, but it got easier in the 2nd week, and I lost 15lbs for 30 days. I am a very happy customer and I highly recommend this audio book!
I have tried many diet plans in the past, and some of them did help me stay fit and energetic or lose a couple of lbs, BUT most of those plans are too strict and almost impossible to stick. I like this 30-day sugar detox because it gives you more "space" when preparing your meals. Now I am on day 27, and eventually I will move into a paleo lifestyle, but I am happy with this program because I sleep much better and I see some positive mood improvements.
I recently stumbled upon the sugar detox diet and decided to learn more about it, but when I bought this book I didn't expect it will be so difficult. The first week was easy I ate everything that I prepared and didn't cheat. But when week 2 came I struggled and legitimately went through sugar withdrawal. After that I even got headaches and all I could think of was a chocolate. I didn't give up and it got easier in the last 2 weeks. Now after the detox I can say that I sleep better and feel much more energetic and healthier. I highly recommend this audiobook and the diet!!!
8/10 mostly because it's a recipe book and not a story book. It's narrated very well.
Listening to different recipes and listening to all the ingredients and how to prepair it. I close my eyes and imagine myself making the recipe and thinking to myself, I can do that, that's easy.
She brings an enthusiastic voice to the words, she is empowering and easy to listen to.
I liked the advise near the end of the book talking about vegetarians and athletes.
The primary goal of this book is "drink more water"
This book has a great meal plan and great recipes for giving our bodies a break from all the sugars we eat and don't even know it. I think this is very handy and the narrator Stacy Wilson is very clear and relays the information in an engaging way.
