Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new stand-alone enemies-to-lovers college romance.

I’m trapped by the devil. What started as an innocent mistake turned into actual hell.

In my defense, I didn’t mean to get involved with a mafia prince. But he barged through my defenses anyway. He stalked me from the shadows and stole me from the life I know.

Jeremy Volkov might appear charming, but a true predator lurks inside. He’s out to possess, own, and keep me.

But I have no plans to stick around in his blood-soaked world. Or so I think.

This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that aren't to everyone's liking.

Dark Enemies To Lovers Romance

God of Wrath by Rina Kent is a dark enemies to lovers romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Zara Hampton-Brown, Jason Clarke, and Shane East. This is the third book in the Legacy of Gods series and can be read as a standalone.

Rina is an amazing writer! She always pulls me into the story and makes me fall in love with the characters. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Jeremy and Cecily. Their relationship is messy, but I couldn't help but root for them.

I can't wait for the next book in the series God of Ruin to be released on August 10, 2023, so I can get Landon's story.

Teddy, Zara, Jason, and Shane did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, enemies to lovers romances, college romances, or mafia romances.

Enthralling, Powerful & Intense! Brilliant Story & Narration🎧

Kent pens another outstanding “Legacy of Gods” novel and it is an intense mind-blow of a story, one that is captivating from start to end, it comes with some content warnings but she failed to add how consuming the story is and how difficult it is to put the book down, you just need to know what happens next. This series is the next generation of characters from her earlier series, the two lead characters had parents attending the same school, Cecily Knight, daughter of Xander Knight and Kimberly Reed from “Black Knight”. Royal Elite, book 4 attends the Royal Elite University. Jeremy Volkov, son of Adrian Volkov and Lia Morelli of the “Deception” trilogy, attends King’s U’s College, along with his younger sister Annika, from “God of Pain”. As you can see, Kent knows how to weave a mighty fine web with all her characters intertwining them in one way or another, and her world building is absolutely phenomenal. The time line of this story runs simultaneously with the second book, there are brief mentions of events that occurred, but they are told from a different point of view. This book starts with Cecily getting herself in deep trouble after using an invitation not meant for her and at the mercy of the Heathens for their initiation trials. She was doing this for Landon, there is a rivalry between the schools and he wants info to help him get the upper hand. Cecily fails the initiation, but she survived the chase almost injury free, she also learned something else about herself, she loved the chase. She did not know who was behind the mask but he stirred up something in her and she will venture out for more joining an online club, hoping to get matched with Landon, but she gets someone else instead, someone just as dark even more intense. Jeremy does not open up to anyone, and he does not let anyone in, he is not sure what it is about Cecily, hr only know she is his to do as he pleases. Primal play can be different depending on the world, but in this book it is consent given for the players to take what they want without consent, safe words shared if it gets too much and one party wants the play to end, which may take some out of their comfort zone so keep that in mind if you have a problem with that. That said, the scenes are well written and well done. There is never a dull moment in this “enemies to lovers” romance, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, some thrilling moments, twists, and super steamy and intense scenes. Rina Kent, thank you for another brilliant story and the wild, emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Teddy Hamilton and Zara Hampton-Brown do an amazing job performing the roles of the two lead characters as well as all the secondary characters. Jason Clarke and Shane East are the guest stars making an appearance performing their roles as Adrian Volkov (Clarke) and Shane East as Xander Knight. These superbly talented narrators have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that is a perfect fit for their character’s persona and are believable in their perspective roles. They set the perfect tone for the story and capture all the character’s emotions and project them in to their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Jeremy x Cecily

Let's start by talking about how much I've been looking forward to this book and looking forward to reading it,
I read this book in less than 24 hours and I stayed up all night to finish it.

The beginning of the book already took my breath away, I love books that start very well, that's a very positive point.

I also like when the protagonists don't fall in love at first sight and I love to see their love being built, that's what happened with jeremy and celicy

I'm in love with Cecily, I already loved her mother but now I love her too she's a character just the way I like her, her heart is beautiful the way she takes care of her friends it was so beautiful to see how Jeremy was realizing all her qualities

I loved that even though she stood up to Jeremy she didn't lower her head to him.
I'll confess that I didn't like seeing her in the beginning in love with Landon, because I knew it wasn't her, and at the end of the book I understood that she is a mechanism for her to forget something.

What can I say about Jeremy, my god so hot, I feel a connection with him as I saw him born and also his journey in his parenting book so watching him grow up is amazing. I loved his dirty mouth and seeing how much he is his father's clone.

This Couple oh my god it's really hard to convey this couple in words they are fire.
I had countless reactions reading this book, yes I screamed, I cried, I got angry, I smiled so much.
It's such a rewarding experience for me as a reader to love a universe so much and get to know the characters being in their heads.

I love how rina makes the character start the devil and then he becomes the woman's dog, but not in an obvious and boring way

Jeremy is his father's son so he didn't give Cecily a lot of choices, but it was his INSISTENCE that made her realize how much she needed him to invade her life and turn her upside down, they both needed each other and I loved the transformations in their lives I loved the ending that cecily, didn't forgive jeremy so quickly and made him really regret and fight to deserve his love, I love when that happens
Jeremy's protectiveness towards Cecily is so beautiful to see that he takes care of her, and she takes care of him too.

I LOVED THE BOOK, I LOVED EVERYTHING.
THIS COUPLE IS FIRE AND I LOVED WATCHING EVERY SECOND.

SPOILER ALET ! SPOILER ALET ! SPOILER ALET ! SPOILER ALET

*Best moments book*

It's difficult because this couple all the scenes are very good my god how difficult it is
- I like the beginning when they hate each other yes I do, their first time was shocking and amazing.
- All the scenes that jeremy smiles,
- I like it when cecily challenges him and jeremy goes crazy
all the scenes he takes care of her
-The scene where she returns to them after the fight.
- Cecily Cena and KIM
- SCENE ADRIAN And jeremy yes i cried

Five stars for Teddy, Shane, and Jason

Before I begin this review, let me just say that I know I could not do a better job, but I do know what I like when listening to an audiobook. I had a really hard time listening to Zara, especially when she did the voices for Ava and Jeremy. She made Jeremy, who is supposed to be this brutal mafia prince, sound like a clown. Ava sounded like a whiny airhead.

If you have triggers, than this isn’t the book for you. It’s violent, vulgar, and brutal in a way that in real life, it would not be welcomed in most (all) situations. It is physical and mental abuse to a tee. This, however; is fiction and a way to be entertained if you could handle it.

My favorite part of the book is when the “dads” text in their group chat because Xander is having problems dealing with Jeremy in his daughter’s life. Those guys are hilarious.

I have always liked Jeremy ever since he was a child. It’s hard to believe he’s the same little boy who grew into a brutal leader without any remorse for violence. I loved the relationship he had with Cecily, and how they helped each other through their struggles.

Rina Kent rocks!

OTT, JP In the best way!

Another second gen book, I’ve enjoyed getting to see the sons and daughters of old favorites and their friendships as well as their relationships. Spicy and a favorite kink. Loved hearing from Xan, Kim, Adrian & Lia as well as their kids perspective on their respective parents relationships. Worth it credit if not!
