Publisher's summary

If you want to have a happier, healthier, and more fun senior life...then keep listening!

For many of us seniors, life can become boring, lonely, and unfulfilling. We live with the aches and pains of aging and loss of friends, relatives, and significant others.

For some, this can be a downward spiral of depression and unhappiness. For others it's just a feeling that you have little to look forward to and that life is slowing down and monotonously coming to an end. Really sort of depressing.

Mr. Pace wrote this book at age 72 because he saw too many of his friends and acquaintances falling into the above scenario and thought their must be many of the "Baby Boomer" generation in the same boat. After training in the martial arts for more than 50 years and owning several business along the way he had a totally different outlook on life. Maybe it was the self-discipline he developed along the way or his constant goal to stay fit and healthy, but he always felt better days were ahead. His goal in writing this book was to share some ideas that could really change and improve the life of his contemporaries.

In this book, in simple, plain English, you will discover:

  1. A volume of great ideas to improve your health and fitness.
  2. A plethora of ideas to expand your horizons and make senior living fun.
  3. How to control your weight and increase your energy.
  4. Methods of living that will help you continue to grow personally and stay relevant.
  5. Great ideas for senior exercise and fitness including his personal regime.
  6. Baby boomer strategies for dealing with wills, trusts, and other financial issues.
  7. Simple ideas to deal with family and relationship problems that seniors face.
  8. How to avoid becoming a “dinosaur” and stay up with modern technology.

Yes it does suck but we need to do the best we can

This book will make you realize you're not alone in the aging process and how to compensate for all those things that remind us we're not spring chickens any more. The author sets forth a healthy life plan that will at the very least make this process bearable. Additionally, this book will give the reader a better understanding of what is happening to our bodies as we age and how to cope with it.

I have witnessed the author live this story!

As a 35-year-old martial arts instructor, I have been a student of Michael Pace for over two decades and have looked up to his advice and teachings since I was 13 years old. His audio book "Getting Old Sucks" is a must-read for anyone who wants to age gracefully and maintain physical and mental health as they get older.

From my personal experience, I can say that the author genuinely knows what he is talking about and practices what he preaches in his book. His insights on how to maintain physical fitness, mental clarity, and overall wellness as one ages are spot-on and backed by his years of experience and research. This is his story.

What sets this book apart is that it is not just a compilation of general advice but also offers specific techniques and practices that anyone can incorporate into their daily routine. These techniques are rooted in the author's own experience and are designed to help readers achieve optimal health and well-being as age unavoidably gains in its chase.

As someone who has looked up to the author as a role model in all areas of life, I can say with confidence that his book is a reflection of his own lifestyle and philosophy. He is a living testament to the content of this book.

In summary, if you want to age gracefully and be in the best possible physical and mental shape entering your golden years, "Getting Old Sucks" is a must-read. The author's insights, techniques, and personal experience make this book a valuable resource for anyone who wants to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.
